Welcome to Eclipse Dear Friends, We are delighted to present our Summer 2016 collection with our biggest and best selection of holidays to date. With Eclipse now firmly established as a leading tour operator and several years’ experience under our belt, this latest brochure offers a wealth of new and existing holidays with style and a smile!

The introduction of new tours like Scenic Scotland, Heart of Floral Harrogate, Newquay and Weymouth enrich our domestic offering. Further afield, our popular Irish programme has expanded to feature the likes of Cork and Ireland’s Ancient East. The European collection is completely revamped and showcases Florence & Tuscany and the Rhine Valley. We are sure there is something for everyone.

The collection of tours is not the only thing getting bigger, we have Florence Newquay Bay now increased our catchment area meaning those of you living in Aberdeenshire & Tayside can now join our holidays from the comfort of your own home with our popular door to door service.

For solo travellers, look out for the Solo Eclipse collection on pages forty-seven to forty-nine offering a collection of holidays designed purely for solo travellers. Following on from the successful solo tours to St Annes, we have now compiled an attractive array of destinations including Llandudno, Torquay and Skegness.

Jersey by Air - a huge hit for two years running now offers weekly departures from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports offering greater choice and convenience than ever before. With our FREE Door to Door service, you do not need to worry about getting to the airport or expensive parking.

Here in the office, the team has been strengthened by the appointment of Hayley – our new General Manager who has made a great impact since her arrival in May. The three of us are extremely proud of this 2016 brochure and have been working away securing what we believe to be the best collection of coach holiday hotels bar none.

LOW DEPOSITS

A non-refundable deposit is payable within four working days of booking your holiday. Deposits are £30 per person for UK and Ireland holidays, £100 per person for European coach tours, £150 per person for Jersey by air holidays.

A chauffeur-driven people carrier, taxi or mini bus will collect you from your to home and take you to a conveniently located point where your holiday coach awaits. No longer will you have to worry about getting to your pick-up point on time or having to make your own way home. With Eclipse Door to Door, everything is done for you. We believe this truly takes the stress out of the joining arrangements for you, not to mention speeding up journey time and minimising the length of time on coach before everyone is aboard!

Which holidays include Door to Door Collection?

Look out for the Door to Door logo on the brochure page but in general this service is available on all holidays of five days or more and all Christmas & Hogmanay tours.

Where Door to Door is not available (such as short 2 day hops) the coach will be available for pick ups in Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.

Where do you need to live to be eligible for Door to Door Collection?

Our free Door to Door service is available to customers within 15 miles of Dunfermline / Edinburgh / Bathgate / Glasgow / Paisley / East Kilbride / Hamilton.

For customers living further afield, Door to Door may be available for a supplement.

Scottish Highland Railways This majestic tour is one of the most popular holidays in the Eclipse collection and offers the chance to enjoy three world-renowned train journeys. Scenic Scotland This fabulous new tour has a great mixture of culture, history, seaside fun and city exploring. Take in the beauty of St Andrews, discover city life in Dundee, appreciate the history of Royal Deeside and top it off with a visit to Glamis Castle, winner of the best attraction award for the UK 2015.

Excursions Glamis Castle & City of Discovery Visit the finest castle in Scotland, winner of the best attraction award for the UK 2015. The castle is famed as being the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

After our guided tour of the castle we head to Dundee, known as the City of Discovery. This waterfront city has a host of attractions including the Discovery Point detailing Captain Scott’s remarkable Antarctic expedition.

Park Hotel - Montrose The Park Hotel is located in the centre of Montrose only a few minutes’ walk from the busy high street and the beach. There is an elegant restaurant serving a varied menu and a nice bar for you to sit and relax in. The hotel has been refurbished to a very good standard and has been awarded the TripAdvisor certificate of excellence. Outside there are beautiful gardens for you to enjoy and inside there will be some evening entertainment. There is no lift but plenty of bedrooms are on the ground floor.

Royal Deeside Glamis Castle

Start the day with a visit to Ballater, the most picturesque Victorian village in the heart of Royal Deeside. We then take a lovely drive through Crathie and Balmoral where we will pass the Castle. Our final stop will be Braemar village surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, beautiful glens and ancient pine forests which contain abundant wildlife.

Stately St Andrews & Arbroath We head south to St Andrews - the world famous home of golf.

As well as great sporting tradition the town also offers two fine beaches and a variety of individual shops, cafes and restaurants. On the way home we stop off at Arbroath which is famous for the “Smokie” (flamed haddock). Attractions include the beach, marina and the Abbey.

Regent Hotel - Oban The Regent is a beautiful Art Deco hotel, based on the esplanade of Oban, opposite the pier. It boasts dramatic views across the sea to the Isle of Mull. The hotel is a mixture of classic Victorian and Art Deco architecture and is an ideal base for exploring the west coast of Scotland.

Facilities include three bars, the Marine Restaurant and there is a lift to most floors. Regular evening entertainment is included.

Duart Castle

Fort William Fort William’s setting is dramatic, on the shore of Loch Linnhe, and under the mighty hulk of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.

Attractions within the town include the West Highland Museum, which houses a large collection of Jacobite memorabilia, and the visitor centre at Ben Nevis Distillery, which tells the story of how the giant ‘Hector MacDram’ discovered the ‘Legend of the Dew of Ben Nevis’.

Ullapool & Dunrobin Castle This breathtaking tour takes in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt scenery in the world. Based in Ullapool, you’ll be surrounded by majestic mountains, perfect beaches and undiscovered forests and waterfalls. One of the tour highlights is a visit to Dunrobin Castle dating back to the early 1300s.

Caledonian Hotel - Ullapool

Loch Maree & Gairloch Often referred to as the most beautiful loch in the highlands, Loch Maree contains a Gairloch group of scattered islands, making for dramatic scenery. We also visit the popular tourist resort of Gairloch with its many sandy beaches and wealth of spectacular scenery.

Dunrobin Castle One of the highlights of this tour is a half day excursion to Dunrobin Castle (admission included), which resembles a French château with its towering conical spires. This is one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s and features spectacular falconry flying demonstrations.

The Caledonian Hotel overlooks Ullapool’s working harbour and the colourful fishing boats on Loch Broom. One of the oldest hotels in the area, the Caledonian still boasts a quiet, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and pleasant gardens. The Mackenzie restaurant overlooks the hotel gardens and offers traditional Scottish dishes and the Caledonian Lounge is the perfect place to relax with its coal burning fire and views of the harbour, plus entertainment some nights. We travel to the coastal resort of Whitby, with its skyline dominated by St. Hilda’s Abbey, and the church of St Mary. One hundred and ninety nine steps from the town centre lead you up into the churchyard on the east cliff which gave Bram Stoker the inspiration to write Dracula. If that sounds too energetic, then meander round the maze of alleyways and streets which run down to the busy quayside. You may want to visit one of the award-winning beaches and coves or take one of the many coastal walks. Day four – Enjoy a free day to explore everything that Newquay has to offer. Perhaps take a stroll along the cliff tops and see some of Cornwall’s best beaches or visit the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Day five – We take a drive to Truro, the only city in Cornwall and home to a stunning Cathedral containing the world’s largest stain glass project.

After spending the morning here, we move on to Penzance, the most southerly point of the UK and a town steeped in history.

Galway at a leisurely pace An extremely popular tour in 2015, this tour explores Co. Galway on the west coast of Ireland. Day three - Today we visit Ireland’s most historic and compact city of Kilkenny where there will be a visit to the magnificent Kilkenny Castle which dominates the city (entrance included). Followed by free time to explore Kilkenny’s narrow medieval alleyways and shops.

Day four - A day at leisure to enjoy Ireland’s oldest city. Maybe visit the famous Waterford crystal centre or the Waterford Treasures museum on Merchants Quay which tells the city’s fascinating history.

Day five - Coastal tour to Wexford noted for its friendliness and its changing scenery which varies from wide expanses of beaches and coastline to lush green pastures, blue mountains and rolling hills.

Wexford is an ideal place to relax. On our way back to the hotel we will take in Hook Head and Hook lighthouse.

Day six - We bid farwell to Waterford today and head to Wicklow Gaol. This is an atmospheric jail museum experience offering visitors a glimpse of life in prisons of the past. As one of Ireland’s top tourist destinations, Wicklow Gaol tells the story of its prisoners through an interactive tour led by experienced and passionate actor guides. After this fascinating visit, we head to Dublin for a overnight stay.

Day two - After a good night’s sleep, we make our way to the Rhine Valley and our hotel in Rudesheim, the Rudesheimer Hof Hotel, which will be our base for the next five nights.

Day three - We take a full day to explore two beautiful towns on the banks of the Moselle River, Alken & Cochem. Both towns are overlooked by imposing fairytale castles and have charming town centres with narrow winding streets and half timbered houses.

A delightful family-run hotel situated right in the heart of Rudesheim, close to picturesque vineyards, historic buildings and local attractions. Day five - We travel to the beautiful town of Idar-Oberstein. Famous for its gemstone industry and magnificent church built into the rock face, dating from the 14th Century, Idar-Oberstein is a town of precious stones and sparkling treasures. Day six - A half day visit to the Farmers Rudesheim Market in Mainz to sample some local food and drink delicacies, and perhaps pick up some souvenirs. On the return we’ll stop at the famous viewpoint of Lorely Rock before having an afternoon at leisure in Rudesheim.

Day seven - We begin our homeward journey by travelling to the overnight ferry sailing to Hull. Dinner and breakfast are included on the ferry and accommodation is provided in twin inside low-berth cabins.

Days four - We head to the sophisticated capitol of Tyrol, Innsbruck. With Alpine views around every corner, this medieval old town is home to imperial palaces, world-class galleries and Zaha Hadid’s avant-garde designs. The Old Town’s centerpiece is the Goldenes Dachl, a glittering Gothic oriel built for Emperor Maximilian I dappled with copper tiles.

Nearby, wallow in Hapsburg majesty in the Hofburg imperial palace and the Hofkirche where Dürer’s King Arthur statue solemnly guards the emperor’s empty tomb.

Day five and six - A couple of free days to relax or explore our base of Landeck, a popular tourist destination, surrounded by magnificent mountains and bordered by fast-flowing rivers. The famous castle which gave Landeck it’s name, towers above the city which is becoming an increasingly popular shopping area.

Day seven - We take a journey along the Silvretta Mountain Pass for some magnificent views of the alpine peaks. The road travels between Partenen and Galtür, which passes the Silvretta Reservoir and impressive turquoise body of water between the mountains and on to the beautiful mountain village of St Anton, where we will have a stop for some exploring.

During our visit, we’ll explore the city to find out more about its history.

Day six and seven - Two free days to relax and enjoy beautiful Montecatini.

DEMANDS AND NEEDS This insurance policy will suit the demands and needs of an individual or group (where applicable) who have no excluded medical condition(s), are travelling in countries included within the policy terms and who wish to insure themselves against unforeseen events detailed in the cover section below. RESIDENCY You or anyone else named on this policy has not been a resident in the UK for the past 6-months.

HEALTH CONDITIONS If you are travelling within the UK you must be able to comply with the following conditions to have full protection of your policy. If you do not comply the insurer may refuse to deal with any relevant claim or reduce the amount of any relevant claim.

You are not aware of any reason why the trip could be cancelled or cut short You are not travelling: a) against the advice of a medical practitioner, b) for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment or c) if you have been given a terminal prognosis.

You are not receiving or awaiting treatment for any illness or injury as a hospital day case or in-patient as any claim arising from the illness or injury will not covered.

The premiums quoted in the table above include Insurance Premium Tax (IPT).

A Frequent Traveller Coach Holiday policy is available for £49 per person.

COVER

SIGNIFICANT EXCLUSIONS

If you are on medication at the time of travel your medical condition must be stable and well controlled If you are travelling outside of the UK and the policy requires you’ to declare your medical condition(s) then you will need to call Towergate Medical Line on 0344 8921698. You must also notify the Towergate Medical Line immediately of any changes in medical circumstances arising between the date the policy is issued and the time of departure for the trip. You may have to pay an additional premium to cover your medical conditions. This applies to all destinations outside the United Kingdom.

SPORTS/HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES If you intend to take part in any sports or hazardous activities not included in your holiday itinerary please call the tour operator with whom you have booked your trip. They will contact Towergate on your behalf to confirm whether the policy can be extended to cover your planned activity or activities. Additional terms and premium may apply.

In addition to the above the policy also contains the following main exclusions: Suicide or the wilful exposure to exceptional personal risk.

For anything caused directly or indirectly by you suffering from stress, anxiety, depression or any other mental or nervous disorder unless it has been investigated and diagnosed as such by either a registered mental health professional if you are under the care of a Community Mental Health Team or if not, by a consultant specialising in the relevant field, who must confirm in writing, at your cost, that you are fit enough to take this trip.

Travel against the advice of the carrier, any other public transport provider, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office or the World Health Organisation.

Motorcycle travel during the insured trip where the engine size exceeds 125cc.

Any manual work or hazardous occupation undertaken during the insured trip.

The bankruptcy / liquidation of the tour operator, travel agent or transportation company with whom you have booked your trip.

Examples of these and other conditions and restrictions and what to do if you are unsure about any aspect of an exclusion are contained within your policy information. If after purchasing a policy should you find it does not meet your requirements you have 14 days from the date of receipt of the policy documents to cancel the policy.

Terms & Conditions CHANGES BY US Sometimes it may be necessary at short notice to make changes to an itinerary or hotel etc. If a hotel change is involved, we will endeavour to offer you a similar standard hotel and keep you informed of any changes. Occasionally, we may have to alter timings, routes, itineraries or hotels; if this is necessary then inconvenience will be kept to a minimum.

LOW DEPOSITS A non-refundable deposit is payable within four working days of booking your holiday. Deposits are £30 per person for UK and Ireland coach holidays, £100 per person for European coach holidays, £150 per person for Jersey by air holidays and £250 per person for all other air holidays.

Coach holiday balances are due 4 weeks prior to departure and air holiday balances are due 12 weeks prior.

LUGGAGE All baggage and personal belongings are carried at owner's risk and Eclipse Breaks will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage except where such a loss or damage is caused by proven negligence of the company's employees.

Due to health and safety of our drivers, you must keep to one medium-sized suitcase per person.

OTHER TERMS In order to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers on our holidays, you are subject to the following requirements: You may not play a radio, cassette or CD player on the coach.

You are responsible for ensuring you are at the correct departure/pick-up point at the correct time and we cannot be held liable for any loss or expense suffered by clients because of their late arrival at any departure point.

You must ensure that you have a valid passport for European holidays and we cannot be liable for any loss or expense incurred if you do not.

It is essential that your luggage has the Eclipse Breaks label affixed.

It is a condition of travel that if there is any item of luggage above the maximum weight limit, we must be notified in writing.

Wheelchairs and scooters - we regret that due to space limitations, we can only accommodate either two wheelchairs or one lightweight (15kg) folding mobility scooter on each tour. You must notify us at the time of booking if you wish to bring a wheelchair or scooter.

SMOKING Smoking is not allowed at any time on the coach. There will be frequent stops to ensure that smokers are not overly inconvenienced.

BEHAVIOUR When you book with us you accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused by any member of your party. Full payment for any loss or damage must be paid to the coach driver or accommodation provider. In the event of any client behaving in a manner which, in our reasonable opinion, is likely to cause offence, damage, danger or distress to others, we reserve the right to terminate that person’s holiday arrangements and will not be liable for any refund, compensation or any other costs incurred.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE It is important that, if you are unhappy with any aspect of your holiday, you raise the matter at the time with the coach driver or accommodation provider. If you fail to do this, thereby failing to give us an opportunity to rectify the matter at the time, we cannot accept any responsibility retrospectively. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately, it is a condition that you write to us with details of your complaint so that we can commence an investigation. You must send this report to us in writing within 14 days of returning home.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU We take care to ensure that your holiday will be as enjoyable and safe as possible. If anything goes wrong with your holiday that is directly our fault then we will accept responsibility to compensate you. We also take responsibility to compensate you if it is the fault of our staff or anyone else providing the holiday to you and this may include the hotel owner and ferry operator. However, we will not be responsible where you do not enjoy your holiday or suffer any problems because of a reason you did not tell us about when you booked, or where any problems you suffer did not result from any breach of contract or other fault on our part or our suppliers', or where any losses, expenses, costs or any other problems relate to any business not connected to ourselves.

SPECIAL REQUESTS Although we endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we cannot promise that any requests will be honoured. We will not always be able to tell you before you leave if we cannot meet your special request.

EUROPEAN HOLIDAYS For all European holidays you will require a valid British passport. We cannot be held responsible if passengers are not in possession of the correct travel documents and no refund will be given to anyone unable to complete their holiday for this reason. The E111 has been changed to the EHIC European Health Insurance Card; please make sure you are in possession of one when travelling abroad. Please note, on European tours, dinner is normally a 3-course set menu, tea & coffee is not normally provided. Buffet breakfasts may be hot or cold or both. Continental breakfast is usually croissants, breads, tea and/or coffee. There are normally no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms unless otherwise stated. For all European holidays, passengers must have adequate insurance and full details must be given to us prior to the departure date.

PROTECTING YOUR MONEY For your extra peace of mind we have taken out an insurance policy to protect all customer monies paid to us.

This is confirmed below from our insurance partner MGA Cover Services Limited.

PRICE POLICY All brochure prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling. Hotel prices are based on two people sharing accommodation. We reserve the right to make changes and correct errors in advertised prices any time before your holiday is confirmed. We reserve the right to increase the cost of your holiday, by way of a surcharge, if transportation costs, i.e. fuel duties, ferry costs or port taxes increase or as a result of currency fluctuations. We will always bear the first 2% of any increase.

MINIMUM NUMBERS OF PASSENGERS Before we can run a holiday, there must be enough passengers booked to make it viable, otherwise we may cancel the holiday. In this case, we will notify you of this at least seven days before the date of departure. In most cases, we will try to provide an alternative holiday.

FORCE MAJEURE Except where otherwise stated, we regret that we cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of "force majeure". In these conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we, or the supplier of our services could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

PASSENGERS WITH HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS Please note: our holidays may not be suitable for people with certain disabilities, dietary requirements or medical conditions.

If you have a disability, coaches can be difficult to get on and off, and some of our hotels do not offer ground or lower floor accommodation or lifts and easy access. Should any of your party suffer from any disability or medical condition which may affect their, or any other passengers’ holiday, you must provide full written details at the time of booking, including any specific requirements that the person has. Also at the time of booking, you must provide that all assistance the disabled person requires will be provided by you. In view of the nature of the holidays, we regret that we must reserve the right to
