[ A new chapter for Backspace Living ] Originally founded in Newcastle, Backspace living has been crafting luxurious yet affordable granny flats. Having opened an office here in Byron last year, they are now in transition to become their own fully independent local business. This process will include a name change and rebrand, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Their focus will shift towards local trades and craftsmanship and introducing new designs whilst keeping the integrity of their beautiful granny flats. They will also be branching out into renovations and larger homes. This is an exciting new chapter for the business and the Northern Rivers community.

[ Design that enriches the soul ]

Spring is just around the corner, and even if you don’t think of yourself as a ‘gardener’ it’s hard to resist the urge to grow something. If you’re new to gardening, the whole plant thing can be a bit daunting, so ease into it.

Bodhi Living is a new conceptual furniture store in Byron’s Arts and Industry Estate. With a mutual love of design, it was brought into being by Luke McGowen and Tiffany Adcock. More than just creating spaces with beautiful furniture, Bodhi Living nurtures the process of turning a house into a home and instilling their clients’ spaces with individual character and meaning. They believe a home reflects who you are, which is why they work closely with their clients to uncover and develop their personal style.

Start growing food. Most herbs and vegetables are ready within a few weeks of planting. You can harvest them when you’re ready to eat, and you can’t get fresher than that. And you’ll know exactly what has gone into the soil and onto the plants, so you’ll know it’s all clean and safe to eat. Next, get yourself an indoor plant. Not only do they look great, but research over the last few decades has proven they help improve air quality. Plants create cleaner and healthier air, just by being there. The only trouble with indoor plants is that it’s hard to stop at one. 140 Bangalow Road, Byron Bay NSW 2481 02 66856874 0413929171

Stay tuned for the new name and logo reveal in the near future. Happy living!

In true Byron spirit, supporting local artists and businesses was at the core of Bodhi’s vision. They are excited to integrate with the creative and wider community and work with artists and creatives, using their showroom as an inspiring platform to showcase their work. 02 6685 5449 1/18 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay
