Money Dreaming Bronwyn Bancroft’s Storylines: Unite and Act (www. echo.net.au/storylines-uniteand-act) expressed the loss of respect for the land and recalled the climate denial and lack of ‘forensic planning and attention’ to our environment. May I speak as a white elder, versed in the scientific dreaming. Many of us live in the Money Dreamtime where money is the primary reference, much like Country is the foundation of Aboriginal Dreaming. Those in the Money Dreamtime have money as the underlying reference of their existence. These people know the money they live in,
every part of the money they were born into – they even know where the coal is! But they do not listen to the land and the water. The objective world is external to their existence and is not real to them. For our comprehensive survival, these people must be awakened. This can be done by simply and peacefully standing in their way. They will awaken to find a new path, and in the process rediscover the land, water, and air. May we all have the courage to continually stand in their way, in peace, as they go through their process of awakening. Sapoty Brook Mullumbimby
