BYRON SHIRE COUNCIL ROAD CLOSURES PROPOSED ROAD CLOSING UNDER SECTION 38B ROADS ACT 1993 In pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Byron Shire Council proposes to close the unused section of council public road reserve listed in Schedule 1. HAVE YOUR SAY: PUBLIC EXHIBITION PLANNING PROPOSAL TO AMEND BYRON LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 1988 – CHANGES TO STRATA SUBDIVISIONS ON URBAN COASTAL LAND The above Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition from 13 February to 13 March 2019. It will amend Byron Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 1988 by changing the wording of part (5)(a) of Clause 32, which applies to all land zoned 7(f2) Urban Coastal Land. The amendment is to clarify that strata subdivision of land within the 7(f2) zone can only be undertaken in relation to existing lawfully erected buildings, where such subdivision will not result in the creation of any vacant lots. A copy of the Planning Proposal can be viewed on Council’s website at www.byron.nsw.gov.au/public-notice. Please note that in this instance the Minister for Planning and Environment has not authorised Council to exercise delegation to make this LEP amendment.
