AMENDMENTS TO COUNCIL’S ADOPTED FEES AND CHARGES 2018/19 MARVELL HALL AND SUFFOLK PARK HALL At its Ordinary Meeting held on 22 October 2018, Council resolved to place on public exhibition proposed changes to its adopted Fees and Charges for 2018/19, as follows: Marvell Hall Committee have purchased new audio-visual equipment for hire and have also updated other fees and charges. Suffolk Park Community Hall has recently had hall renovations completed including a new small meeting space within the hall. The full list of proposed changes can be viewed on Council’s website at www.byron.nsw.gov.au/public-notices. The proposed amendments are on exhibition for a period of 28 days. Submissions should be in writing and addressed to the General Manager, Byron Shire Council, PO Box 219 Mullumbimby 2482 or sent by email to submissions@byron.nsw.gov.au. ADOPTION OF LOCAL APPROVALS POLICY (2018) At Council’s Ordinary Meeting held on 2 February 2018, Byron Shire Council resolved to adopt the Local Approvals Policy and request consent from the Chief Executive, Office of Local Government, for the proposed exemptions. On the 22 October 2018 consent was given by the Chief Executive, Office of Local Government for the adoption of Part 1 Exemptions. The Local Approvals Policy allows for defined activities to occur, in prescribed circumstances, without the need for approval under Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993. In accordance with section 166 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council gives public notice that the Byron Shire Council – Local Approvals Policy (2018) is effective from 6 October 2018. DESIGN, SUPPLY AND INSTALL OF SOLAR PV SYSTEMS AT 3 BYRON COUNCIL’S SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS (STPs) This offer has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to design, supply and install 3 PV Solar Systems at Council operated Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). Contract duration has been specified as 12 weeks from the commencement date mentioned in the Letter of Award. The commencement date will be subject to review and assessment of the detailed design under Part V of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979. An indicative timeframe is listed below.
