Band Accomplishments:
728 Cadets have won many grand champion awards at parades including the Owatonnia Award, winning the combined grand champion of the Owatonna and Waconia parades, five years in a row. The band retired the grand champion trophy in 2015. They have won grand champion of the Vikingland Band Festival in their division many years. The band was awarded Grand Champion 2013-2015 and 2017. The band was undefeated in its 2017 season.

Band Accomplishments:
The Hutchinson Marching Tigers have seen tremendous growth over the course of the past five years. In 2015, the band took first in Class AA at the Vikingland Band Festival as well as many other awards. The Marching Tigers is an extracurricular group comprised of half of the band department at Hutchinson High School and is a part of a comprehensive music program that includes three concert bands, two jazz bands, pit orchestra and is a partner with Phoenix Drumline Association. This year the band will travel to the East Coast and march in the 233rd Annual Bristol, Rhode Island parade and Randolph, Massachusetts parade. They will also participate in the centennial American Legion parade in Minneapolis this summer.
