Educational and Charitable Foundation Awards $3,000 Grant to Support Coalition on Women and Girls
Fairfax, VA – January 7, 2025 – Educational Charitable Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce a grant award of $3,000 to the Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG), to support their Women emPower and Girl emPower programs and initiatives to promote leadership development and fosters an inclusive community for Loudoun’s women and girls througheducation, collaboration, and empowerment. Specifically, LCWAG’s Women emPower focuses on employment and entrepreneurship resources and honoring women through a bi-annual Hall of Fame recognition. The Girl emPower focuses on careers, leadership development, and mental health.
“We are partnering with the Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls to support these vital programs,” said Dr. Eugenia R. Gardner, President of the Educational and Charitable Foundation.“The Girl emPower and Women emPower initiatives are making a real difference in the lives of women and girls in our community. We believe that investing in their growth and success is an investment in the future of Loudoun County as a whole.”
The grant will help expand program offerings, provide scholarships for participants, and fund workshops, training sessions, and leadership development events. The Educational and Charitable Foundation’s commitment to fostering equity and access aligns with LCWG’s mission to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women and girls across the region.

help us achieve our goals, said Stacey Metcalfe, the incoming 2025 Board Chairman, of LCWAG.
