DEAR ECCLES STUDENTS,
As we look back on another busy yet successful year, we are so grateful for your continued participation and engagement with BSG! We have held so many events, service projects, and Bites with BSGs this year, but none of them would have been possible or nearly as fun without you!
Whether you came to an event, took the time to fill out a survey and offer the Eccles Leadership Team your feedback, participated in a service project or community initiative, or simply created connections with your classmates, you’ve played an integral role in shaping the student experience at the Eccles School this year!
This incredible school is the vibrant, welcoming, connected community it is today because of your energy, ideas, and willingness to get involved, and we really cannot thank you enough! Your involvement makes a real difference, and we believe that with everyone working together towards building a community where each student feels a sense of belonging, we are able to create an environment not just conducive to learning, but for forging lasting friendships and connections.
We look forward to seeing you next year, and if you’re graduating – congratulations! We will miss you here at the Eccles School, but we are so excited to see what you do next!

DE-STRESS FEST - REALITY SHOW EDITION
At the end of every semester, BSG hosts a week's worth of stress-relieving events called “De-stress Fest” to support student well-being during finals season. This semester’s theme was inspired by Reality Shows like Project Runway, The Bachelor, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and The Kardashians. We had a great time meeting all of you and know you all crushed it on your final exams!
“It’s been so nice to have free food and little pick-me-ups this week, finals are just really stressful!”

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
BSG is committed to uplifting the David Eccles School of Business’ core values through community service, specifically focusing on cultivating “empathetic global citizenship” and giving students the “confidence to impact their world.” To work towards these goals, we threw two events this semester focused on serving and uplifting the broader community and the Eccles community through “Hearts in Action,” a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) workshop to prepare Eccles students for emergencies and “Wall of Encouragement” a take a note, leave a note event to encourage positivity and kindness throughout midterms.
“This event can literally save lives, and we’re so happy to see students learning this important skill! It was also super fun to try a new format for the service project this month.”

WHAT WE HEARD & IMPROVEMENTS
Students shared thoughtful feedback, highlighting opportunities to enhance the Business Scholars Experience.
In response, we collaborated with Business Student Representatives and students to develop a proposed four-year plan for the Business Scholars Experience. This plan includes curricular and co-curricular enhancements aimed at fostering stronger connections among students, supporting informed major selection and career preparation, easing the transition to college, and helping students make the most of their time at Eccles. We presented these recommendations to Eccles leadership, who were enthusiastic about the ideas and are working to integrate many of them into the program in the coming years
Students want the chance to socialize with peers in less formal environments and want to establish new Eccles School traditions.
We are working with the Eccles Leadership team to find the funding and finalize an idea for a new Eccles Tradition that would be fun and offer students the chance to be together outside of an academic setting! We hope to have more details to share soon
