HEALTH CONCERNS WITH TRADITIONAL WOODEN BOARDS USING UREA FORMALDEHYDE Many traditional wooden boards commonly used in a variety of applications contain formaldehyde, a harmful chemical used as a preservative in wood products.

Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen and has been linked to a variety of health concerns, including respiratory problems, eye and skin irritation, and even cancer.

Exposure to formaldehyde can occur through inhalation, skin contact, and ingestion, making it a serious health concern for people who come into contact with wooden boards on a regular basis. ®
