UNITE is an every 3 years event that our high school students greatly anticipate. Our prayer for our high school students is that God would unite our students in friendship, our churches in relationship, and individuals to Jesus. Releasing our students into God’s hands, we left for San Diego.

The theme of the conference was ‘The rest of your life, for the rest of your life’, centered on Psalm 23. Students drew near to Jesus their shepherd, radically loved as his sheep. As I prayed over my students each morning, I was humbled to see Jesus reaching their hearts in a way only the Good Shepherd can. We saw lives transformed as students decided to leave the world behind and follow their kind Savior, not because they had to, but because they believed in the truth of his gospel and the nature of relationship with The Shepherd.

One of my favorite parts about UNITE is gathering together as Alaska covenant churches before the event and supporting one another throughout. Once every three years our students from covenant churches across Alaska have the chance to gather in one place, building relationships across villages and cities. Connections in Alaska last for a lifetime and make the state feel less vast. It is my favorite gathering of

In the midst of the hot San Diego sun, refreshing pool days, zoo trips, and big games, God met with our students. The love our Savior has for his kids is incomparable, and our students were able to taste his love and see that it is so good. I pray that each young person who attended UNITE would remember the kindness of their Good Shepherd,
