1,000 Point Scorer

With 20 points against Alfred University, Josh Keys ’14 joined the elite 1,000-point club. He becomes Elmira’s first 1,000-point scorer since 2011 when Bobby DiPiazza ’11 reached the same milestone.

Only Three Away

Josh Keys ’14 is also closing in on Elmira’s all-time record for career three-point baskets. The Maryland native owns 247 career threepointers, just two shy of tying Elmira’s all-time record and three from owning sole possession of first place, breaking a 13-year old record set by Ryan Bennett ’01.

Not Since 2003-04

Elmira’s 13-point win over Alfred University upped the Soaring Eagles’ win total to eight, the most victories they have had since the 2003-04 season when Elmira finished the year with a 9-16 overall record.

Lockdown Defense

Elmira showed how stifling they can be on the defensive side of the ball as the Soaring Eagles held Alfred University, the nation’s second leading scoring offense, to just 67 points in their last game. It is the lowest amount of points Alfred has scored this season and it is also 32 points lower than their season average.

Unselfish Play

For the third straight game, the EC men have dished out 20 or more assists, including their last game against Alfred University when Elmira recorded a season-high 24 assists. The last time Elmira had more assists dates back to the 2003-04 season when EC recorded 30 assists in an 81-56 victory over RIT on February 7, 2004.
