The project is underpined under four main strategies:

The proposal aims for the creation of a pedestrian platform and a new public space in front of the market, resulting from a slight setback of the current building and the pedestrianization of the road, guaranteeing accessibility and the general improvement of the urban area.
Strategic air conditioning and negotiation of microclimates. Characterized by an ambiguous relationship between interior and exterior, the type of market is integrated into the project through a distribution based on air conditioning depending on the need, resulting in lower energy demand.
Reuse, readjustment and recycling. Even with clear insulation and natural ventilation deficits, the equipment’s material heritage is reused in its rehabilitation, maintaining its structure and a large part of its enclosures, being able to punch them, isolate them
