The ground floor provides an open space that can be fully opened up, serving the purpose of exhibitions, meetings, or conferences.
The upper level is reserved as a living space for an artist who wishes to stay for 3-6 months and fully immerse themselves in their work.

3. volume division

9. final conceptual volume
The process illustrated in the previous diagrams does not define the final product. However, it serves as an initial exercise that will form the foundations of the project, through the exploration of the ideal function and form, taking into account the program, orientation, sunlight, immediate context, etc.
The purpose of this project is to connect the community through an artistic space.
The area where the project is proposed holds significant cultural value since there exists a handful of historical monuments and important heritage builidngs that are highly frequented public spaces.
The final diagram showcases how this artistic gathering space fully opens up towards the public space to attract transient users, turning them into temporary users, and thus creating a dialogue between art and the community.
Spatial Form

The spatial hierarchy is defined by the architectural program of the project.
The form adapts to this program to provide pleasant spaces through an enveloping skin or lattice that promotes natural ventilation and lighting. Additionally, the triangular-shaped roof creates a spacious area that gives a sense of freedom.
The ground floor is reserved for public use and serves as a connector between the street and the public space.
The first floor is exclusively for the artists. Providing them with access to a workshop and studio.
Finally, the last level is isolated, as it is solely for the resident artist who temporarily resides there.
The activities that can be carried out within these spaces promote social interaction through creativity, culture, and art.
All of this with the purpose of giving a voice to the neighborhood and attracting people from across the city to revive the area of study.

The home features three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a recreation room, living room, dining room, kitchen, study, garage, garden, and a central patio.
Materiality and Atmosphere
Puerta del Valle, Zapopan, Jal.
Project Type: Single Family
Footprint area: 2,691 ft2

To create feelings of peace and abundance, the use of raw contrasting materials is proposed. The main materials include slate stone, concrete, and mahogany wood.
The interaction of these materials create cozy but fresh spaces that provide a sensation of harmony.
To further enhance the atmosphere of the spaces, the house is divided through a central courtyard, which aims to connect the daytime and nighttime areas.
Moreover, the interaction of natural light is essential to create tranquil spaces that elevate the sensitivity of the senses in the inhabitants.
Ultimately, the concept of the wabi sabi style incorporates functional and permeable architecture that divides common spaces without the need for erecting walls. This allows light to penetrate every corner of the home and creates a free, open space

BIO-REGENERATION OF THE SAN JUAN DE DIOS RIVER
This project serves as an investigation of the San Juan de Dios River located in the city of Guadalajara.

Likewise, a solution is proposed for the ecological restoration of the riverbed, which would primarily benefit the surrounding community as well as the entire city of Guadalajara.
Preliminary Analysis
Santa Elena de La Cruz, Guadalajara, Jal.
Project Type: Urban Design & Landscape
Footprint area: 35 acres

The San Juan de Dios River runs through a highly marginalized subdistrict in northern Guadalajara, where socioeconomic challenges have compounded environmental neglect.
This segment of the river, extending 2 km, reflects deeprooted social, natural, and urban issues that affect the surrounding low-income communities.
The river's extreme pollution has degraded local biodiversity and poses significant health risks to nearby residents.
The purpose of this project is to design an urban regeneration plan that revives the river's natural ecosystem and elevates the quality of life for the local population.
The research process of this project served as the foundation for a solution involving urban planning and design, landscape architecture, and social intervention that would improve the condition of the riverbed and its surroundings.
This huge undertaking must, however, be complied of a multidisciplinary team of biologists, chemical engineers, civil engineers, architects and sociologists, for the project to succeed. As well as the local governments cooperation.

Design Criteria
Re-usageoftrash(inthiscase,tires)

At the end of the research stage, several design criteria are proposed to trigger the new urban image of the area.
One of the proposed ideas is to re-purpose the waste found within the river, such as tires, bottles, and plastics, to promote recycling and environmental awareness.
The proposal includes creating a linear park that runs on both sides of the riverbed.
Key initiatives include reducing pollution, reintroducing native vegetation, and creating spaces for community interaction, such as parks, bike paths, and walking areas.
The project has evolved in a way that it would not only be a natural reserve but also serve as a cultural hub, promoting community interaction.
By transforming this neglected area into a safe, vibrant green corridor, the project envisions a revitalized subdistrict where residents can enjoy improved air quality, recreational spaces, and enhanced public infrastructure, fostering a healthier, more connected community
