Book Jacket Cover Basics
• Brodart Book Jacket Covers (BJCs) represent the largest variety of style formats in the industry. They also offer great convenience features like folding guides, anchor tabs, and adhesive strips.
• Brodart BJCs are designed to protect your book’s cover and/or dust jacket from scratches, wear and tear, fingerprints, and moisture.
• With just three basic choices, you can locate the cover that best meets your needs.
Adjustable
These covers are sized to fit various book heights within your collection. For example, if you have 9"H books and 10"H books, they can both be covered with 10"H covers.
Exact Fit
These covers are designed to fit a specific book height without the need for adjustment.
Polyester
Chemically inert, archival-safe, and durable material that will not stretch or yellow over time; recommended for circulated volumes. Available in lo-luster (to hide imperfections) and super clear (to show off new dust jackets). Available in 1.5-mil and 2-mil thicknesses. Ideal choice for circulated books.
Polypropylene
Soft, flexible, quiet material that will stretch but will not tear; recommended for non-circulating or personal collections. Available in non-reflective (to hide imperfections) and clear (to show off new dust jackets). Available in 2.5-mil thickness. Best for home collections or non-circulated books.
Sheets
For fast, easy, convenient application, sheets are pre-cut to specific book heights and widths. Packed in acid-free shrink wrap to prevent shifting, folding, and damage. Available in packs of 25 or 100.

Guides enable a precise fold and are spaced at 1/8" increments.

Rolls

BASICS FOR APPLYING THIS BOOK JACKET COVER . . .
• Fold any excess film and crease with a bone folder.
• Wrap film around the book and evenly fold the excess around to the inside covers.
