EBRD Advice for Small Businesses in Armenia

In Armenia, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development supports small and medium-sized businesses grow, succeed, then grow again, becoming genuine leaders in their local economies, then their region and globally. In 2017 a framework agreement was signed between the European Union, presented by the European Commission, and the EBRD on establishment of Financial Instrument “SME Finance and Advice Facility” targeted to the SME sector development in Armenia. The Action has two components: SME Finance through establishment of Private Equity Fund to develop the private equity sector in Armenia and Advisory component to provide advisory services to SMEs implemented within EBRD “Advice for Small Businesses” program. The “Advice for Small Businesses” program in Armenia is currently funded by the EBRD, the European Union under the EU4Business Initiative, Sweden and Small Business Impact Fund.
