Shelley, We appreciate the opportunity to work with the City of Eau Claire to improve the community and Chippewa Valley Region through this exciting project. Please see the detail below for LHB’s Cost Proposal for the Architecture and Engineering Services for Chippewa Valley Regional Transit Transfer Center Revitalization Project – Procurement 2019-05. The basis for the following proposal follows the estimated construction budget for the City of Eau Claire’s portion of the project at $4.3 million. If the estimated cost of construction is significantly higher than targeted, we would like the opportunity to discuss the impacts on our fees and negotiate a fair path forward. We understand the City will be hiring a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and LHB’s scope of work has previously been reduced in the areas noted in the work plan. We also understand the City is willing to forgo underground parking and LHB’s scope of work has been further reduced accordingly. We understand that the private development portion of the project will be awarded to a Developer under the assumption that they will work with LHB’s team as the Architect/Engineer of Record.
