7TH ANNUAL SWEET TEE OFF This past April the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce held their seventh annual Sweet Tee Off Golf Tournament at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee. This is one of our biggest events of the year, with 100 players participating, helping raise money for the Chamber’s local community efforts. This fundraiser supports the Chamber of Commerce and its efforts to fund community outreach programs and local high school students in their college expenses.
First place winners: the ABM Team of Rick Higginbotham, Beverly Levine, Jason Anderson, and Horace Hudgins.
Registration began at 9 in the morning where players enjoyed Chick-Fil-A biscuits, a bloody mary bar and an opportunity to practice on the open driving range. Once 10:30 hit, players had a shotgun start and the competition began. The tournament came to a close about 4:30 in the afternoon where afterward the players attended an awards ceremony. There was a first, second and third place winner for the tournament. The first place winner received a trophy, Encanto red wine, a Masters tumbler and a $25 gift card to Silver Moon. The second place winner received bourbon, a Masters tumbler, Masters towel and a $25 gift card to Lake Oconee Bistro. Lastly, the third place winner received Larceny bourbon, a Yeti cup and a $25 gift card to Lake Oconee Outfitters. This event wouldn’t be possible without our local sponsors who donated to the event. The Chamber has already begun planning for April 2022, so start practicing your swing and keep an eye out for details on the next Sweet Tee Off!
