Mampuya é uma construção imagética e pictórica. Procura o reencontro entre valores estéticos e demarca-se artisticamente. Quebra fronteiras procurando uma identidade que não se inscreva no puramente modernista, classicista, renascentista ou pós-modernista, embora a Pós-Modernidade seja a sua morada. O trabalho de Guilherme Mampuya, inspira-se no dia a dia. É uma reflexão e um exercício de inclusão que reflete a cultura, as situações sociais e politicas, a beleza da mulher angolana, através das cores quentes inscritas no ADN da cultura de Angola. A ecologia é uma das suas grandes preocupações, pelo que as suas peças transformam “coisas perdidas” em objetos de arte. Guilherme Mampuya considera-se “um artista no centro do turbilhão da vida, que tudo absorve”. Ganhou o prémio EnsArte 2008, mas não considera os prémios importantes na carreia de um artista: “O artista não se deve limitar aos concursos, por isso não gosto de participar”. A qualidade, criatividade e frequência da sua produção artística têm granjeado enorme reconhecimento internacional. As suas telas espalhadas pelo mundo são adquiridas por grandes colecionadores. Guilherme prepara-se agora para pintar uma Palanca exclusiva, a convite do projeto de solidariedade "Palanca", cujas receitas revertem para a ajuda a populações carenciadas. É em casa, onde tem o seu atelier, que gosta de criar as suas obras, ao som da genialidade da música de Mozart. Hoje as sociedades pós-modernas dão-se a conhecer pela individualidade, ao contrário de outros tempos onde o todo dos artistas prevalecia. Sonho, talento e ambição são caraterísticas que considera imprescindíveis para a afirmação de um artista. De facto é impossível ficar-se indiferente à arte quotidiana de Guilherme Mampuya.

It breaks boundaries, looking for an identity that does not fall in the purely Modernist, Classicist, Renaissance or Postmodernist tradition, although Postmodernity could be said to be the movement that best describes his work. The work of Guilherme Mampuya draws on everyday life. It is a reflection and an exercise in inclusion that reflects the culture, social and political reality; the beauty of Angolan women, through the warm colours inscribed in the DNA of Angolan culture. Ecology is one of his major concerns, so his pieces transform “lost things” into objects of Art. Guilherme Mampuya considers himself “an artist at the centre of the whirlwind of life that absorbs everything.” He won the EnsArte award in 2008, but does not consider awards relevant in the path of an artist: “Artists should not be limited to being recognised in competitions, so I find it difficult to participate”. The creativity, quality and frequency of his artistic output gas garnered huge international recognition. His canvases are sought-after by large collectors and are scattered all over the world. Guilherme is now preparing to paint an exclusive "Palanca", by invitation of the Palanca solidarity project, whose proceeds will help people in need. It is at home where he built his studio that he likes to create his pieces, to the sound of the genius of Mozart’s music. Today’s postmodern societies make themselves to known through individuality, unlike other times when all the aspects of the artist were considered relevant. Having an ability to dream, talent and ambition are characteristics that he considers essential for the assertion of any artist. In fact, it is impossible to remain indifferent to Guilherme Mampuya’s everyday art.
