Freelance music technician wanted As a result of the grant funding The Little and Big Association were awarded for their Poetic Roots Project they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic freelance music technician and script song writer to develop and undertake a series of workshops with young people to develop their skills and interest in heritage.

They will be required do 8 music workshops and 8 poetry workshops for ÂŁ 150 per session (2 hour workshops) this must include workshop preparation.

New training programme Starting Point and BDCVS have joined forces to launch a new training programme for third sector organisations in Barking and Dagenham.

In previous times our training days have overlapped and sometimes have covered the same subjects so we decided that we could provide a much more comprehensive training programme by delivering this together.

The new programme covers in depth sessions on all the practical courses that community organisations need such as business planning, collaboration and consortia building, public speaking, fundraising and many more.

Getting to know- Brighter Steppings

We are a social enterprise with the aim to equip young people aged 13-19 with employability skills to enhance their social economic circumstances and raise aspirations.

We focus on developing intuitive, educational and exciting programmes for young people through our Right Step program which enables young people to participate in a series of public speaking training workshops which subsequently leads to a debating competition where the young people are given a platform

to demonstrate the skills they have developed before friends, families and prominent members of the community.
