WEDDING AT BURTON TOWN HALL The historic Burton Town Hall offers a unique setting for you and your guests on your special day. From our grand staircase and the exquisite decor of the Mayoral Suite to the gothic arches of the Main Hall, we have a range of options available to suit celebrations of all sizes and budgets. We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies in our beautiful Chamber and Muniments Room. Our Wedding Coordinators and experienced team will lead you through the whole process, from the initial meeting and planning, through to the day itself.
Elegant, Unique & Versatile
You can have exclusive hire of any of our rooms to decorate yourself, or you can let us do all the hard work for you. We are able to create a bespoke package for you, from catering to flowers, entertainment to table dressing; we can work with you to create a memorable day that is unique to you.
The CEREMONY Burton Town Hall is the perfect setting for your Wedding Day; our Grade II listed building exudes elegance and adds grandeur to your celebrations. We have a choice of rooms for your Wedding Ceremony.
Civil CEREMONIES The Bride and Groom are responsible for booking the Superintendent Registrar in advance and must agree the content of the Ceremony with them beforehand. Contact Burton Registrar on 0300 111 8001
The Chamber seats 80 guests and is a room full of character; with the sun beaming through the stained glass windows, it is a beautiful setting to tie the knot. The Muniments Room is a stunning wood panelled room, adorned with the townâ€™s historic silverware. This room is a wonderful alternative to the Chamber for more intimate ceremonies, with a capacity of 20. Our Mayoral Dining Room will be available for your preceremonial interview and you will have exclusive use of the Mayoral Suite during your time with us. This unique and historic setting is perfect for photo opportunities.
Music is allowed in the Marriage Room; Please discuss your music choice, whether live or recorded, with our events team. Any music, readings, words or performances, which may form any part of the Ceremony, must not be religious in any way. The Bride and Groom may provide flowers and other decorations for the Marriage Room if required.

MAIN HALL With magnificent stone arches and beautiful stained glass windows, the Main Hall offers a grand, exquisite backdrop for any event. It has a sprung wooden dance floor and high ceilings that provide excellent acoustics, perfect for an evening of musical entertainment. The Hall can comfortably seat 200 guests with a further 200 guests for your evening clelbration. This versatile and atmospheric space can also be adapted for a smaller celebration. Capacity: 400
DOVE ROOM The Dove Room is ideal for a smaller gathering with a large skylight that emits plenty of natural light and provides the room with a pleasant, light airy feel. The Dove Room is perfect for your wedding breakfast. Capacity: 80
LINGEN ROOM The Lingen Room is part of the original Victorian building and this is reflected in its elegant dĂŠcor. The striking beamed ceiling, partial wood panelling and impressive tall leaded windows make it a charming room, perfect for a more intimate celebration, somewhere to truly make your special day even more memorable. Capacity: 80
BAR & CATERING There are 3 different bar areas throughout the building, so you can be assured whichever room option you choose, your guests will be able to enjoy a toast to the happy couple. The Rangemore bar, which can seat up to 20 guests, is included when hiring the Main Hall. Our current bar contractor is Saffron Catering who will provide pleasant, helpful, smart staff and an extensive range of drinks.

Bespoke PACKAGES Our friendly, professional events team can assist you in creating a special day with all those personal touches. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and range of services. Whether you decide to do it all yourself or take advantage of our bespoke packages we will be on hand to ensure your day is exactly what you had always imagined it to be. Our bespoke packages are designed so that you can create a completely unique day with every element chosen by you from our extensive range of local, high quality suppliers. By working with you to select each option, we can ensure that your Wedding celebration suits your needs and your budget, without compromising on quality.
Contact our team to arrange a consultation and discuss your bespoke package. Once you have agreed the different elements of your special day you will then be provided with a final costing. We ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit on confirmation of your booking.
