CLUB MANAGER'S REPORT The Club boasted 20 men's teams and one women’s team, as well as 40 Junior teams! The senior section had four grade winners with the Premiers (Chatfield Trophy One-day winners and the T20 Competition winners), Scorpions, Desi Boys and Goons winning their respective grades. The Scorpions and Goons are back-to-back champions. The Club secured the Royal Visit Cup at the Cricket Wellington Awards for the club with the most aggregate points.

The season was heavily disrupted by COVID and poor weather conditions. I want to thank the captains and players for their perseverance in trying circumstances when dealing with player availability and abandoned games. The rejigged season also, unfortunately, denied the Premiers the opportunity to contest the Pearce Cup final.

Congratulations to Michael Bracewell for making his Test debut as Black Cap No 283 this year. It is a just reward for his hard work and dedication over many years. The Club is extremely proud of the representative selection of four Firebirds (Michael Bracewell, Lauchie Johns, Jamie Gibson and Luke Georgeson), five Wellington A selections (Adam Leonard, Jed Wiggins, Felix Murray, Jacob Logan and Josh Newport (CD)) and Jacob Madigan’s selection for the Wellington Under-19s.

The following Easts players were recognised at the Wellington Cricket Awards: Lauchie Johns for the highest score and highest run aggregate (Arthur Dick Cup) Felix Murray was the leading Premier wicket-taker with 45 wickets at an average of 14.64 and won the Ron Murray Cup Michael Bracewell on being awarded the Norwood Award Firebirds' Cricketer of the Year, Dream11 Super Smash Player of the Year, Overall Player's Player of the Year, Men’s Best Allrounder. In addition, Michael was the NZ Cricket Dream11 Super Smash player of the Year Andy Ellis of the Easts Goons for the Best Lower Grade Performance with 205 runs off 67 balls including 25 sixes!

Lauchie Johns led the Premiers from the front and absolutely dominated most bowling attacks, amassing a staggering 1,098 runs at an average of 57.79 across all formats, with a highest score of 212. Lauchie’s run tally is the second-highest ever in a season behind the legendary Stewie Dempster, who scored 1,182. It is baffling to understand how Lauchie has not had more opportunities at a higher level.

Masters' Cricket has become very popular over recent seasons, and we congratulate Tom Lancaster and Scott Pender for their selection in the New Zealand over 50s B squad, and Hamish French for his selection in the NZ Over 50s A squad for their upcoming tour of Australia.

Thanks to Olivia Boyd, Paul Young and Jeremy who have put in a tremendous effort to promote Women’s and Girls’ cricket at the Club and create a pathway for female cricketers. This is a long-term project with the ultimate goal of greater female participation and a Senior Women’s team in Division 1. As further recognition for their efforts, Olivia Boyd and Jeremy were included in the Cricket Wellington’s Volunteer XI. BRIAN GARDNER

JUNIOR CLUB REPORT The Junior Club again had a fantastic season with close to 40 teams representing the Club.

Without you all we would not have such an amazing culture or been able to offer so many cricket opportunities.

Whilst COVID again played some havoc, it was mainly the weather that put a dampener on the end of the season with unusually bad weather all through February.

We had a large exodus of supportive families who have helped over many years and we now wish them well moving into the college system.

I was really proud to see the extension of our girls' programme this year. With a huge increase in our development programme we were able to take eight teams to Riverbend (a club record!).

As always the Club relies on many volunteers and I thank all the coaches, managers, parents, and grade coordinators who put in a huge amount of effort to make sure that the kids get a fantastic cricketing experience.

However, it does leave a gap, so the club needs other volunteers to ensure we can continue to offer the same depth of cricket – so please get in touch to discuss!

Lastly, as we were not able to have an end-of-season, we are hopeful to kick off 202223 with a bang and celebrate the wonderful people in the Club.

FEMALE CRICKET REPORT This season the Club fielded three female teams across the junior and senior club: Y5-8 Girls (soft ball, played Sundays) Premier Girls (Y7-11, played Saturday afternoons) Premier 3 Women's In addition, some girls played in the junior mixed grades.

Presently the Club has no female pathway, but we have taken steps to build our female pathway to Premier 1 and representative cricket. One of these steps has been to combine our junior practices and bring more female players together.

Unlike their male counterparts, secondary school girls are able to play for both their local club and school teams. So we invited both the Wellington East Girls' College 8aside team and the newly formed St Catherine’s College 8-a-side team to practise with us on Monday evenings.

Neither school has a coach nor practice grounds, so we are able to offer both while looking to increase the number of players in our club pool.

This growing critical mass has also contributed to a developing inclusive culture for girls at the club. The Easts Cricket Festival held in December, and the end-ofseason social game (with Firebirds and pizza dinner) were well-supported in a successful season despite the COVID disruptions. Both the girls' teams are faithfully supported by great parents each week.

Future plans With our new Premier Girls' coach, Paul Young, we are putting together a pre-season plan for October. We aim to have all our female teams practising on the same night (including P3 Women’s team); offering some specialist coaching sessions; continuing with Club events that include parents e.g. TONK games; appointing a female player/coach for the Y5-8 girls; working with Cricket Wellington to promote the girls' games in local primary schools.

We are grateful for the support from the Club this season – thanks to Jeremy, Ronnie, Tim and Jonathan.

CLUB RECORD Lauchie Johns smashed the Club record for runs in a season. His total of 1098 runs was only 82 runs shy of the Wellington Club Cricket record set by Stewie Dempster in 1928/29. Four hundreds and four fifties, including a massive double hundred in the T20 final with a top score of 212 against Johnsonville!

DOUBLE DOUBLE One double hundred is a rare feat. But this season two double hundreds were scored on the same weekend. Lauchie Johns (Easts Premiers) and Andy Ellis (Easts Goons) both brought up double hundreds on what we think is a club first – double double hundreds!

EWEN CHATFIELD TROPHY We are 2021/22 One-Day Champions!

Johnsonville took it down to the last over.

But we came out on top. This was the second time we came up against Johnsonville this season and the second time we got over the line ahead of them.

T20 CHAMPS Over two weekends to begin the season, our Premiers went undefeated in six matches including the final against the Johnsonville CC. Thanks to Cricket Wellington for continuing to emphasise this trophy and format. It's a brilliant way to get the season underway.

VOLUNTEER XI Volunteers are the lifeblood of sport and without them, it simply doesn't happen. Congratulations to Club Volunteers, Olivia Boyd and Jeremy Dean who were selected in the Cricket Wellington 2021/22 Volunteer XI!

CRICKET FESTIVAL On 3 December 2021, we hosted our inaugural Easts Cricket Festival. The Festival is a day for everyone at the Club. To celebrate everything about our Club. To say thanks to everyone who supports us. To connect club members who don't normally spend time together. To rekindle old rivalries and create new ones.

Thank you to all the current players, past players, new players, family members, Mums, Dads, Granddads and Grandmothers who made the Easts Cricket Festival everything it was.

A special thank you to Cricket Wellington for helping run our YeahGirls' session and to Olivia Boyd for organising 16 girls to play our first-ever game of TONK cricket.

EASTS PREMIERS (1ST XI) Three highlights of this season: Winning the T20 Cup in a clean sweep at Kilbirnie Park! Topped off by scoring 240+ in the final with Lauchie Johns making 149.

Winning the Ewen Chatfield Trophy One-day comp after a slow start, to go two from two in finals after coming up from Hazlett Trophy.

Lauchie’s monumental innings of 212 against Johnsonville in a One dayer.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Felix Murrary Felix made his presence felt from the outset. 45 wickets in a season is always a goodie.

BEST BATTER: Lauchie Johns The runs speak for themselves, 1098 total, hundreds in all formats including a double, and scoring over half of them against the eventual Pearce Cup Champions, Johnsonville.

MVP: Lauchie Johns Hard to write this about myself but as the only member of the team to get a bar tab this season, I kept the boys hydrated which is cause enough.

EASTS RESERVES (2ND XI) Three highlights of this season: The introduction of so many young future stars who played during school holidays: Harry Kidd - 162 runs across 6 games; George Wells - 13 wickets across 6 games; Ben Baker, Marco Muollo and Will Fox played a couple of games each and showed great potential with the ball.

Beating Johnsonville by 197 runs. With Dilakshan scoring 116 off 73 balls.

George Wells 5-40 off 16 overs against Collegians, It was a spin masterclass from a young guy still in school and learning his craft. No batter could play him.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: NATE WIGGINS Nate took wickets each game he played and ended up the highest wicket-taker – 15 wickets 19.33 average.

BEST BATTER: HENRY WELLS Henry was our most consistent performer with the bat this season, 339 runs, 33.90 average, 88 highest score.

MVP: HENRY WELLS Henry steadied the ship many times with the bat. He was also great with the gloves taking 14 catches and 2 stumpings and was a solid team man.

EASTS COUGARS (3RD XI) Three highlights of this season: A ferocious Gursharn hit five sixes in a row against the Easts Roosters Sahil and Nishad hit their first 100s for Easts At Eastbourne, Will Irving hit three sixes in a row into a neighbour's garden.

2021/22 SEASON TEAM PROFILE

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Andrew Peden Comfortably the quickest bowler in our grade, Andrew dominated opponents once again this year. Took 15 wickets at 15.47.

BEST BATTER: Sahil Saini Incredible year for Sahil who was the top run-scorer in our grade. Scored 501 runs at 62.63, including two 100s and two 50s.

Scoring 150 against Roosters was a particular highlight.

MVP: Sahil Saini.

Sahil was a constant bright-spot for the Cougars. A fantastic year with the bat and a very very safe pair of hands in the field.

2022/23 SEASON WORK ON Winning close games. We comfortably beat the weaker teams in our grade but failed to win the important games when it mattered. Next year!

EASTS ROOSTERS The Roosters impressed in the Two-day games with three winning draws after Christmas. Each of these was pulled out of the fire by rear-guard batting.

In the first game after Christmas, the Roosters were 91/7 needing 128 to get the first innings win, and managed to sneak through with one wicket spare. The next game was even more dire against the Desi Boys. Needing 240, the Roosters were in trouble at 161/7. Burt and Bignall then combined for an unbroken 105-run partnership to snatch the winning draw.

Things got even more precarious against the Cougars. Needing 228 to secure the first innings, the Roosters were floundering at 68/6. Enter Tim Klyen with a classy 85 to secure the first-innings lead.

A special shout-out to Roosters legends Sameer Magan, Ben Fawkes, and Sarangan Sakithivel who have all relocated to start the Roosters' UK chapter. We hope to see you back in Roosters' gear soon!

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Rob Macdonald Rob is the bowler you would want to bowl for your life. All season long, he chugged into the stiffest breeze without complaint and consistently put the ball in the right spot. His final tally of 11 wickets doesn't do justice to his impact in 2021-22!

BEST BATTER: Christian Bonnevie Almost 4,000 career runs for the Roosters, Christian showed his quality again in 202122, scoring 513 runs at an average of 51, including two centuries and a fifty.

Christian was great at either opening or number three, depositing shots back over the bowlers' heads for fours and sixes.

MVP: Christian Bonnevie and Andy Burt The Roosters award 3, 2 or 1 points to an MVP every week. The total points are hidden during the season until the overall Rooster MVP (Skux of the Year) is announced. Andy Burt and Christian Bonnevie received 12 MVP points each.

They also tied for the trophy in 2019/20 with Aidan Collin.

2022/23 SEASON WORK ON Every year the team is getting older and slower. We'd benefit if the clock could be turned back. Yoga, speed work, ice baths, and acupuncture might be on the menu for next summer!

EASTS COBRAS An up-and-down season for the Cobras but the standout moments of the year include participating in the inaugural Easts Cricket Festival.

Although the result didn’t go our way we were honoured to be a part of it and challenge for the 'Gordie Shield' against our fellow club foes, the Goons.

Another great moment this year was the match we played directly after the sad news of Shane Warne's passing. We agreed with the opposition that the first ball of every over was to be bowled as a leg spinner. Plenty of laughs and a great way to honour one of cricket's best.

Lastly, an amazing knock of 117* off 54 balls

by Jacob Williamson in the final match of the season remains fresh in the mind.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Zac Konlechner Zac took the most wickets during the season and also provided the best bowling figures in a single match – 4-11 off 4 overs BEST BATTER: Clinton Parkes Clint scored the most runs for the season 330 at an average of 55 and a strike rate of 157 he also scored a 55 ball century against VUWCC MVP: Clinton Parkes After a team vote Clint was named MVP for topping the team and grade in runs scored and MVP points via the cricHQ app.

EASTS GOONS Three highlights of this season: Goons v Cobras - In the annual Gordie Dry Shield Match, the Goons defeated the Cobras in style at the Easts' Cricket Festival.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Electric Sokhom Un The Electric Sokhom Un - speed, consistency, and wickets. Great bowling this year.

BEST BATTER: Paula & Tulima From surviving the onslaught from the best bowlers to the last ones standing. Massive improvements from these two rookies this year. Andy Ellis with a whopping 200+ runs.

Goons v Karori Club Chaos – The Goons showed resilience in beating this team with a nail-biting finish that saw the Goons' top batters falling early meaning some tight bowling was required to bring it home, and that they did, with Alan and Robin showing true form and leading from the front to close out the innings.

MVPS: Jayden – he bats he bowls.

Declan – umpiring 20 overs.

Robin – extending consecutive attendance to games.

Alan – never shying away from the donkey work.

EASTS BULLDOGS Three highlights of this season: An all-around performance at the beginning of the season scoring 340 and bowling the opposition out for 70 Having three batsmen score over 400 runs each in the same season for the first time along with multiple players stepping up with the ball and sharing the wickets Great DLS win against Johnsonville.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Rahul Yerabati Rahul took 16 wickets @ 19.25 Econ 3.9. He was constantly asked to bowl in difficult situations and even opened the bowling occasionally as a wrist spinner. Would also be our most improved player.

BEST BATTER: Karl Grove Tough one with three batsmen scoring over 400 runs. The standout was Karl Grove with 450 runs @ 45. Scored runs when it mattered and mentored his teammates out in the middle leading to some big partnerships. Legend.

MVP: Dimitrios Goumas Dimitrios scored 470 runs @ 47 with a strike rate of 99. 16 wickets @ 30 Econ of 4.4 Our best fielder. Enough said.

2022/23 SEASON WORK ON Not a lot really. We just need our best players to also be leaders and keep the boys' spirits up when the going gets tough.

EASTS DESI BOYS Three highlights of this season: The first would be a couple of players making it into the Dream Team, Jayesh Patel and Roshan Patel!

The second would be Jayesh Patel winning the Cameron Cup. The third would be winning 13 games out of 15 with only one loss and coming top of the table!

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Pratik Patel Pratik took 17 wickets in 12 matches averaging 13.06! Best figures 4/9, amazing achievement!

BEST BATTER: Jayesh Patel Jayesh scored two centuries, four 50s and a total of 578 runs in 12 matches with a great strike rate of 129.60 – killing it this season!

MVP: Jayesh Patel Jayesh took this honour with outstanding batting and bowling performances with a total of 578 runs including two centuries and four 50s. 15 wickets at a great average of 23.13 2022/23 SEASON WORK ON We all want to work on our batting as we can't rely on one or two people to make a big score and should be able to contribute as a whole!

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Vishesh Jain His ability to swing the new ball accurately with some serious pace and bounce made him unplayable throughout the season.

Three highlights of this season: Only unbeaten team in our grade, probably in Eastern Suburbs.

Defended two low scoring games (127 & 97) against the same opponents (Stokes Valley) Highest 10th wicket partnership of 143* between Indra and AJ.

BEST BATTER: Indra Visatya Indra scored a staggering 530 runs at an average of 53 and a strike-rate of 121.56. He also added two big centuries 183 & 143.

MVP: Indira Visatya To Indira's fabulous batting skills, he also adds superb fielding, taking some tough catches in the in-field and out-field.

2022-23 SEASON WORK ON The team has been unbeaten and is geared up to take it to the next level. However, when we lose wickets, we lose them in a bunch. This is one area we need to work on.

EASTS TIGERS Two highlights of this season: A son of one of the players says to his dad "Pappa in practice you take all the catches why not in the games".

The Boomers needed eight runs to win in the last over with no bowlers left! So keeper takes off his pads and takes three wickets. We won :)

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Rajnesh A close one between Rajnesh and Sanjay.

Goes to Rajnesh, second highest overs bowled and best economy rate.

BEST BATTER: Tejas Modi Tejas had four, nearly five, 50-plus innings at a great average. An aggressive left-hand opening batsman. Other batters showed talent.

MVP: Hinamshu He has improved over the season. Tejas with the best batting, and sharp catching.

Rajnesh as runner-up MVP gave us hope in some games.

2022-23 SEASON WORK ON Ha ha ha...making sure extras do not hit second placing in highest runs scored. Our First attempt at the T20 club level and have put together past and present players of One-day teams. We will do better.

EASTS WILD CATS Three best moments this season:

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Sammy Lewis, Cosely followed by Penny Lewis & Kyra Elder. Sammy was the most economical bowler often bowling during tough parts of the innings and a crafty wicket-taker.

Scoring 219 runs for no loss batting first against Taita (a team who'd beaten us earlier in the season) with three of our players making 50 runs and retiring not out. This also ended up being our final game of the season due to other cancellations.

BEST BATTER: Penny Lewis Closely followed by Sammy and Kyra. She played every game, usually opening the innings and accumulating the most runs.

Also was very supportive of our new player, Kyra.

At the beginning of the season playing with only six players against a team of eight and scoring 190+ runs and managing to hold Petone off to pull off the win.

MVP: Kyra Elder Kyra came into the team as a newbie but was the fittest on the Park covering the most metres and proved to be a pretty handy opening bowler and batter. Best allrounder!

The Club's Festival Day (shame more of our team couldn't partake but maybe we could organise it for a Saturday instead of Friday next time).

2022-23 SEASON WORK ON Would like to have a bigger squad of fulltime players so it's not a scramble to field a team each week. Might help if we had more younger players coming through.

EASTS VINTAGE As is the case every season, cricket was the winner, sadly it was closely followed by COVID and rain! The curtain is closed on yet another successful and colourful season of Vintage cricket.

For Easts Vintage it was a mixed bag of results, highlighted by plenty of great memories and at times some great cricket, countless number of groans and strains and the beautiful sound of leather on willow (or for bowlers the clink of the bails hitting the deck).

We also saw several new players join the squad and they all proved excellent additions both on the field, and most importantly, off it. The team is made up of past provincial, Premier and cricket tragic players, all of whom still have a competitive streak, yet have a good laugh at the same time. A big thanks also to Ronnie 'Rex' Nathu and the Easts club for taking great care of our team.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Justin 'Yogi' Cook Yogi has a bowler's bag of tricks up his sleeve and at times I think he out-tricks himself! It's no wonder batsmen don't know what's coming next. Consistent wicket-taker.

BEST BATTER: Andrew 'Tails' Taylor Tails was one of several debutants this season and wound back the clock from the good old days with some stylish stroke play. Tails is yet to get out in the Vintage grade!

EASTS SHOE CLINIC Three best moments this season: The best moment in Shoe Clinic's history is in the picture above. Andy MacDonnell bowling the best we have ever seen him bowl decided to drop one in short.... a little too short and bounced himself Second best moment was when a batter skies the ball behind the stumps. Aidan Cassidy the keeper decides not to move so Sam Hyde at the last minute dives behind the keeper lands about two seconds early and catches the ball whilst lying on the ground. Cleary following the principle of getting into position early Steffan McIvor standing at third slip takes a flyer maybe three feet off the ground one-handed.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Steffan McIvor Quickest bowler in the grade, accurate, and gets wickets (top wicket-taker for the team).

BEST BATTER: Scott Pender Again topping the runs scored. And if we counted the three games we abandoned after starting (three games he was on 70), likely would have topped 500 runs for the season.

MVP: Rob Bruns.

Won't win awards, but wins MVP for turning up and being awesome. That and he wasn't the most fined player this year.

2022/23 SEASON WORK ON Catching. Had we took 40% of the catches we dropped this year Sam Hyde would have topped wicket charts by a country mile.

TEAM AWARDS BEST BOWLER: Aaron Telfer Aaron took 20 wickets in nine matches.

BEST BATTER: James Henderson James top-scored and carried his bat twice this season.

Sanjev, our opening batter, hitting a four to win our last game when we needed 28 for the last wicket

MVP: Will Donnelly Consistent batting and bowling with some amazing catches. He also had a baby during the season and was able to come back afterwards.

Our biggest moment was a player sending the team a full nude in the group chat by accident.

AB ACADEMY The Ankur Bassi Academy is turning into an institution in the Eastern Suburbs. Another 25 students joined the Academy in the 2021/22 season, with a range of boys and girls from Year 6 through to Year 13.

Ankur continues to earn the respect of his students and parents for his cricket knowledge, integrity and solid work ethic.

It's exciting to see so many young cricketers hungry to develop their skills and work hard to improve their game.

Some of the AB Academy students have attained high honours during the season past, with a couple of guys who were receiving his tutelage featuring in Wellington Firebirds representation. Quite a few others who have been through the Academy have made Wellington age-group representative teams.

The AB Academy trains week nights 3:30 - 5:30 at Kilbirnie Park.

Ankur is available to take on new coaching roles within the Club, both at Senior and Junior levels. Seek him out if you want to engage Ankur for one-on-one, groups, or team coaching.

TREASURER'S REPORT

The Club recorded a deficit of $1,557 for the financial year ended 30th April 2022 This is made up as follows: Senior Section Junior Section Depreciation

$3,943 ($876) ($4,624) $1,557 (deficit)

This is a satisfactory financial result for the Club.

A key metric for the club’s profitability should be earnings before donations, depreciation and grants. Easts are currently not able to selffund its current operations, let alone afford future capital expenditure, without donations and grant funding support of at least $64,000 in the current year and $60,000 in 2021.

The Club needs to explore all avenues to close this gap and reduce the reliance on donations and grants to fund current operations and meet future capital expenditure requirements.

Grants from the gaming machine trusts this year were generally at an acceptable level, given the impact of COVID. Funding from other sources was also pleasing with new sponsors Floorcourt, Porirua and Tommy’s Real Estate coming on board this year.

It is very disappointing that the subscriptions for one team (The Smoking Pineapples) remain unpaid.

We need to continue to nurture and develop all avenues of income where we can. The outlook for the 2022/23 season remains uncertain, with doubt over access to and continuation of our lines of grant funding.

Our cash reserves are healthy, but we need to prudently manage these, given the uncertainty highlighted above, and the need to fund future capital expenditure in relation to the clubrooms and practice nets.

Year ended 30th April 2022 Audit Report to the Members of Eastern Suburbs Cricket Club

I have audited the attached financial statements on pages 2 to 5. The financial statements provide information about the past financial performance of the Club and its financial position as at 30th April 2022. This information is stated in accordance with the accounting policies set out on pages 6 to 8.

Management’s Responsibilities Management is responsible for the preparation of financial statements which fairly reflect the financial position of the Club as at 30th April 2022 and of the results of operations for the year ended 30th April 2022.

Auditor’s Responsibilities It is my responsibility to express an independent opinion on the financial statements presented by management and report my opinion to you.

Basis of Opinion An audit includes examining, on a test basis, evidence relevant to the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. It also includes assessing: the significant estimates and judgements made by management in the preparation of the financial statements, and whether the accounting policies are appropriate to the Club’s circumstances, consistently applied and adequately disclosed.

I conducted my audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards in New Zealand except that my work was limited as explained below. I planned and performed my audit so as to obtain all the information and explanations which I considered necessary in order to provide me with sufficient evidence to give reasonable assurance that the financial statements are free from material misstatements, whether caused by fraud or error.

In forming my opinion I also evaluated the overall adequacy of the presentation of information in the financial statements.

Qualified Opinion My examination of revenue, because of its nature, was limited to comparison of recorded amounts with bank deposits. Whilst I have no reason to believe that there has been any unrecorded revenue, there are no practical audit procedures to confirm this.

In this respect alone I have not obtained all the information and explanations that I have required. In my opinion, except for adjustments that might have been found to be necessary had I been able to obtain sufficient evidence concerning revenue: proper accounting records have been kept by the Club as far as appears from my examination of those records; and the financial statements on pages 2 to 5; - comply with generally accepted accounting practice; and - give a true and fair view of the financial position of the Club as at 30th April 2022 and the results of its operations for the year ended on that date.

Independence When carrying out the audit I followed the independence requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. Other than the audit, while I have played cricket for the Club, I have not been involved in the club’s financial operations or management, during the period under review.

My audit was completed on 21st June 2022 and my qualified opinion is expressed as of that date.
