Sallie Jameson joined Eastminster in 1980. She serves with our Learning Differences ministry and as a greeter. She has been involved in Vacation Bible school and participates in a small group. Sallie believes God is calling Eastminster to continue to be “fishers of men,” and to share the gospel locally and in the world, sharing God’s love to all, not being judgmental. Her vision is to stay involved in the life of the church, listen, reach out, and understand the needs of others. Sallie is a retired school teacher, married to George, and has two grown sons.
Kathleen Muthig teaches children’s Sunday school, mentors a CHAMPS graduate, and helps with Bradley backpacks. She is part of the GIFT Sunday school class. Kathleen has been a member since 2012. She believes God is calling us to show compassion to others and to be kind and merciful. She believes we can answer that call by a extending grace and peace to the less fortunate as we do at Transitions, the Footcare Ministry and other ministries in our community. Kathleen is an attorney married to Jeff. They have two boys, Wick and JP.

Darren Knight has served with EPC at Transitions and Family Promise. He is on the Prayer Matters team and has contributed to the Daily Devotionals. He believes God is calling Eastminster to share the good news of the gospel with everyone, especially those who don’t know him. He believes that God uses those who know him the best. Maintaining a a personal and growing relationship with God the Father and his Son our Savior Jesus the Christ is foremost for him. Darren joined EPC in 2009. He is married to Evelyn and they have three children, McClain, Clara Gray, and Connors.
Lisa Newman has helped with children’s Sunday school and VBS, and chaperoned and assisted with youth events and fundraisers for Women’s Shelter. She has been on the Presbyterian Women Coordinating Council as secretary and Moderator. She believes God is calling us to focus on church-wide study of scripture, including how to apply it to our lives and believes that multi-generational local outreach is important. Lisa is married to Mitch and has three grown children. Her family joined in 1996.
Richard Slater serves as a greeter and nursery volunteer, and participates in a small group and with his Sunday school class. He is involved in a number of service projects in the community as well through “Southeastern Serves.” Serving God’s Kingdom has become the central part of his life plan. He believes the church plays a critical role in growing people’s walk with Christ. Richard is in sales with Southeastern Freight Lines; he is married to Molly and has three children, Maggie, Becca, and Graham. They joined Eastminster in 2019.
Sandy Spann serves with the Footcare ministry and sings in the Chancel Choir. She is involved with Presbyterian Women, currently serving as the Moderator-Elect.

Josh Livingston serves as a greeter, in the nursery and with Youth Sunday School. He ha s been a Bradley Lunch Buddy. He joined EPC in 2017 and works in insurance. Josh is married to Rankin and they have three children, Mary Russell, Maggie, and Woods. “I believe God is calling Eastminster to continue to be a beacon of hope, outreach, and service in our community. As demands on our time continue to grow heavier, I pray we as a Congregation are ever mindful of our abundant blessings, and that we continue to exercise those blessings through humble service.”
Geoff Reabold joined Eastminster in 2021, and in that time he has co-lead the GIFT class, joined a small group, and served as an Alpha group leader. He feels a strong calling for Eastminster to continue serving and discipling our church body, while being focused on sharing Christ’s love to the lost and least. Geoff is married to Emma and has two children, Jackson and Cooper.
Joni Richardson has served as the Moderator for EPW, on the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee, as a Bradley Lunch Buddy and CHAMPS mentor, and has served with VBS. She serves with Transitions, SWAG (Saved With Amazing Grace children’s fellow-
Sandy believes that Eastminster is called to continue outreach efforts with an emphasis on young adults (college-age) in the community.
Sandy has two grown daughters and is a registered dietician. She joined EPC in 2007.
Ann St. John sings with the Chancel Choir and serves with Love Bearers and Vases of Care. She co-leads a small group and has participated in “Supper Six” fellowship. She has volunteered with Harvest Hope, Vacation Bible school, and the fellowship committee and has helped plan the Advent Retreat. Ann is an honorary Lifetime Member of Presbyterian Women. She feels that God is calling her to help further his service through missions locally and abroad. She is honored and humbled to serve her Lord. Ann is a retired educator and married to Dr. Jim St. John. They have one grown daughter.
At the direction of the Session, the congregation is called to meet on Sunday, July 16, at the conclusion of the 10:30 am worship service.
The Nominating Committee has contacted these nominees, and they have agreed to serve, if elected. If elected, they will serve a three-year term.
Any member of Eastminster Presbyterian has the right to make further nominations from the floor at the meeting, provided that the nominator has permission from the nominee and assurance of that person’s willingness to serve. Further nominations shall not be considered as a rejection of these nominees or of the Nominating Committee. Sam Agee has served on the Finance and Property committees, with the Count Team and the Lawn Care team, with Bradley Lunch Buddies and as a funeral usher. He is in a small group and Spiritual Discoveries Sunday school class. He believes God is calling Eastminster to reach outside its walls to the community to spread the Gospel. He is a former deacon, and was in the hotel development and management industry. Sam is married to Liz; they have two grown sons. Becky Airheart has served previously as both deacon and elder. She is a Stephen Minister, kitchen ministry volunteer, and small group leader. Becky has been on several mission trips, lead a Senior High girls Bible study, and chaired the Community Benevolence committee. She has traveled to Peru and New Orleans on EPC mission trips. Becky believes that God is calling Eastminster to follow his example and words to love one another, and to use its spiritual gifts to serve him and be tuned in to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Becky is a health insurance agent, and has been a member at EPC since 1993.
Eleanor Boyd serves on the MSB committee and led a team for the recent March Out mission day. She chaired Circle 6 for EPW and is a member of the Sparrows Sunday school class. She believes God is calling us to equip members with a deep understanding of God’s call for our lives, and that being the hands and feet of Jesus means loving and serving others. Her vision is to humbly and prayerfully serve God and church at EPC with dedication. Eleanor is a development consultant for the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition. She is married to Larry and they have two grown sons.
Will Brownlee served as a deacon in the class of 2023, and co-chaired the Stewardship team. He is also the chair for community involvement with Meals On
Wheels. He believes the message to the church was clear from day one: spreading the love and the message of Jesus is why we exist. He tries to live his life in a way that exemplifies God’s love and grace in hopes that his example will touch others and draw others closer to Christ. Will joined EPC in 2010, and works in acquisitions. He is married to Beth and has two sons, Will and Bennett.
Emma Bryson joined Eastminster in 1976 and has served in many areas in that time. She is currently in the Spiritual Discoveries Sunday school class, and a women’s small group. She is a Stephen Minister and serves with our Learning Differences ministry, as well as at the Washington Street (UMC) soup kitchen. She is a former deacon, elder, and clerk of Session. She has taught middle and high school Sunday school, as well as a men’s class at the Babcock Center. “I believe God is calling EPC to be an instrument of reconciliation. While we may differ in biblical interpretations, we can peacefully coexist with respectful dialogue and compassion for all God’s children. I also believe that EPC is called to minister to groups that have traditionally been underserved by the church. We are moving toward this goal in part by our relatively new Learning Differences ministry that has the potential to expand.” Emma is a retired attorney and has three grown children.
Andy Cameron is a member of the Monday Men’s Prayer Breakfast, the Spiritual Discoveries Sunday School class, and is in two small groups. He has served on the APNC for Congregational Care, and participated in Alpha as the WE@EPC Bible study. He believes God is calling Eastminster to be the light showing God’s love to the community. His vision is to be part of the foundation to achieve this goal. Andy served on the Session at Shandon Presbyterian Church. He is married to Ann and they have a son and daughter.
John Hart is a former deacon and elder. He participates in the Ted Haigler Sunday school class, the Monday Men’s Prayer breakfast, a men’s small group and seniors ministry. He has served on an Associate Pastor Nominating Committee and has traveled on several mission trips including Campinas, Brazil; New Orleans with RHINO; Alaska; and Dominican Republic with Living Waters for the World. He believes God is calling us to spread the good news of Jesus Christ in Columbia, in South Carolina, in the US, and the world. John and Milly were married at EPC in 1970 and have two grown children. He is a retired construction contract administrator.
Julie Hudson joined EPC in 1990 and has served previously as a deacon. She teaches the JOY Sunday school class and serves on the Prayer Matters team. She is on the team of core writers for the Daily Devotionals. In the past, she has been a Bradley Lunch Buddy, and chaired Vacation Bible School for several years . Julie has been a small group leader for many years and served on the Vision 2020 team. She has also served with Family Promise and Circle of Giving. She says, "I believe God is calling Eastminster to listen intently to his word and be guided by his truths. I believe it is my call to listen, take heed, and obey accordingly. It would be an honor and a privilege to serve our church family as an elder." Julie is married to John and they have two sons, Jack and Henry.
George Kennedy is a greeter and usher and serves on the Finance Committee. He participated in Alpha and in a Dreaming and Discerning small group. He is on the team coordinating Lightly Seasoned. While at First Presbyterian in Greenwood, SC, he served as a deacon, elder, and trustee. He be-
lieves God is calling us to use the many blessings we have to serve not only our community but also the world beyond. He believes that by serving and connecting more deeply here, he can use his time, energy, and talents to support the effort to answer this calling. George is an auditor for the State and is married to Michelle. They have two children in their twenties.
George McCutchen has served previously as both deacon and elder. He has served on or chaired the Worship & Music committee, as well as stewardship and evangelism committees. He has taught Sunday school often since 2000 and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity during that time as well. He is a long-time Alpha group leader and has led groups in “Growing Kids God’s Way” and Crown Financial Ministries. He feels God is continuing to work through EPC in Bible studies that deepen faith & our relationship with Jesus, Bible studies that help implement God’s teachings in the areas of parenting and financial responsibility, local and global missions the action part of Bible studies, and new programs or ideas that promote faith and fellowship but still hold Presbyterian traditions and beliefs. George works in commercial real estate and is married to Shannon. They have three children.
Frank Shuler has been nominated to serve an unexpired term in the class of 2024. He has served previously as a deacon and twice as an elder. He taught the former Susan McGahee Sunday school class and has chaired the Property committee and the Personnel committee. He is on the leadership team for our first responders Servant Leadership Award. He served as the EPC representative to Downtown Church when it was a new church plant. He believes that Eastminster much seek to lead by example, “It must be a beacon of light to all churches, Christians, unbelievers, and to those who have not heard the message. We must be leaders locally, within our denomination, and globally.” Frank is married to Jane and they have one son. He is an attorney.
