

Available for students who have experienced or are experiencing significant change within their family. This change can be defined as, the loss of a loved one, divorce or separation, recent move.
Children in Change is an educational curriculum used in a group setting to provide support to children who have experienced significant changes in their families These skills are taught by a licensed mental health professional in a safe and secure environment
Group participants will learn about:
Establishing trust within the group.

Defining what a family is and create opportunities for participants to share about their families.
Exploring feelings and normalize a range of feelings that relate to family changes and transitions.
Developing positive and realistic problem-solving skills.
Exploring anger and how individual families express their anger.
Discovering the dreams that participants have for their families, and the personal goals that group members have for themselves.

Positive decision making and safe choices.
Available for up to 10 students
Sessions are 1 hour for 8 weeks
