Department Distinctives • Classical Biology degree with courses in disciplines such as Ecology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Taxonomy, and Physiology, Chemistry and Math. • Personalized teaching: All lectures and labs are taught by faculty, with a mentoring style. All students are afforded research and internship opportunities both on and off campus. • Christian faith integration: Curriculum integrates a Christian worldview, founded on the truth revealed in the Bible, through the natural world. • Research labs are supplied with research equipment, such as laminar flow hoods for cell culture, fluorescent microscopes, ArcGIS software for environmental mapping, thermal cyclers for PCR (polymerase chain reaction), equipment for field research in ecology, and other tools for DNA and protein electrophoresis. • Our rich assortment of student internships provides students with experience and networking opportunities for their future.
