Department Distinctives • Excellent student teaching opportunities are provided in a wide variety of settings (urban, suburban, rural) supervised by former public school administrators. • Faculty bring years of experience in public, private, and Christian school teaching and administration. They have earned multiple awards including the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Award. • Reciprocal certifications: EU Teaching Certifications are reciprocal in nearly all of the United States. • Many certification options: Eastern is one of the few universities in Pennsylvania to offer all nine Middle Level Certification options. • Faith integration: The integration of Christian faith and education offers students a holistic perspective of their profession. • Study abroad: Education students can also take courses toward their major while studying abroad for a semester in Canada, New Zealand, or through one of our 7-week student teaching experiences through CCTECC-International Interaction. • Add an MEd: Utilize our Eastern FastPass curriculum and finish both your undergraduate and master’s degrees in education in as little as 4-5 years!

Our Graduates Are Now Working: • As early childhood, middle level, high school, and special education teachers, as well as professors, ESL/ ELD teachers, and administrators. • Throughout the United States and internationally in prestigious, regional and private schools, such as the University of Nebraska, Melmark School, Spring-Ford School District, Lancaster Mennonite High School, School District of Philadelphia, Delaware County Christian School, and more. 9
