A WORD FROM OUR CEO
BY PETER CORATOLA, JR.
Happy New Year, EASE!
Reflecting on 2022, I am amazed by what we've accomplished. We managed not only to meet but surpass our goals!
From exceeding our annual revenue to booking record loads, we've transformed EASE within one year. It wasn't a success by some miracle, it was growth by design, and you worked hard for it.
By growing your teams, investing in processes, and looking for ways to be and do better, you're the reason we can celebrate these milestones! It's not about achieving the numbers alone; it's about our impact on our industry and communities.
Impact drives us, and that will always be our spark.
Change fuels our growth, and, in turn, we fuel our potential. I am genuinely excited to see what we can accomplish within the next month, the next quarter, and this new year!
We've all heard the saying, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." And that's you, that's us, that's EASE.
Cheers, Peter

The business experienced two unforeseen outages and IT was able to handle both quickly and limit and mitigate the downtime to the business.
IT has successfully moved EASE’s infrastructure into Expedients data center which greatly increases our ability to scale and our disaster recovery capacities.
Work is in progress for a solution for existing latency issues and increased work from home stability for using McLeod.
Reflecting on 2022:
IT increased its size from four to a team of nine in 2022. It continues to grow and increase its departmental capacities and ability to support and assist in the business’s growth.
Within the year, IT successfully managed and handled three unprecedented outage issues, deployed automated bidding bots, implemented a Warehouse Management system with a direct connection to a customer's QuickBooks to increase automation and speed of delivery, and implemented a project management/workflow management software tool.
IT is in the final stages of: A new Distribution List structure to support the new organizational changes which will help reduce email volume. Implementing a new phone system to ensure that the right people in the business are getting the calls they should be. The new phone system will increase our reporting capabilities and our capacity to serve customers even more.
In 2023, IT plans to:
Continue working on a multitude of initiatives to begin work and implementation from Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Managed Service Providers, custom application development, and support service-level agreements and ticketing revamps to better serve the needs of the business. Continue to grow the team to increase capacities to create, implement, and support even more value adding solutions and provide the best support for the business and its goals.

Download the HealthiestYou App, which gives you FREE 24/7 access to board certified doctors and therapists by phone, video, or app. They can even write prescriptions.
Through Aetna, CVS MinuteClinic® services are available at little or no cost to you. MinuteClinic offers a broad range of services to keep you and your family healthy. MinuteClinic health care providers treat and diagnose a variety of illnesses, injuries and conditions. They can also write prescriptions and provide vaccines, when medically appropriate. We have partnered with Ohio Health to provide a Nurse Practitioner on-site every other Friday from 1pm – 5pm. This is totally FREE to you, meaning EASE absorbs all cost, it does not hit our insurance, and you do not have a copay. It is open to ALL employees, whether you are on our EASE company insurance plans or not.
The Nurse Practitioner, Kara Shroff, will be able to write prescriptions, give referrals, and advise on minor or “everyday” illnesses, procedures, or accidents. According to the CDC, these everyday preventive actions are recommended to stop the spread of germs: Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
If you are sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them. Cover coughs and sneezes. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Germs spread this way.
Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with viruses.

QUARTER 4 OVERVIEW
2022 DEVELOPMENTAL GOALS
See a recap of our 2022 Company Development Goals and Improvements below.
DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT GOAL & DESCRIPTION OUTCOME
CARRIER OPS
Carrier engagement/Journey - Finalize, deploy, and train the carrier journey (increase experience).
Carrier Ops is currently working on finishing up and finalizing the training/deployment part of the carrier journey. Watch for the official Carrier Journey rollout in Q1 2023.
CARRIER OPS
CLIENT SERVICES
Inclusion in the bid process and scheduling. - Link Carrier Ops with customer and analytics for bid process (carrier RFQs).
This is being done when it makes sense. Carrier Ops is working to get more involved with specialized bids as they present themselves. This is complete and Carrier Ops remains involved as much as necessary.
IT
Scheduling software/automationIdentify, source, and build an IT solution to help automate/track the scheduling process.
Automation is a heavy undertaking but progress is still under way! Client Services and IT met in November to discuss options.
Client Services is launching scheduling tracking through KPI’s soon and is expected to be rolled out in December. It went through final approval and is waiting on the work instruction and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be finished
Development capabilities and data center - Increase internal capabilities for development. Link up with Dublink for the data center.
IT moved Dublink to closed as the involvement in it is essentially non-existent because the city agreed to pay and oversee the build out of the connection with 6000.
IT has the data center in rollout and finalization until EASE gets the VDI’s setup to help with the lingering latency but is otherwise complete.
IT moved to increase developmental capabilities to closed with the increased IT team build out.
LOGISTICS
OPS
Fluid shift turnovers - Introduce sign-off or automated shift turnover process tied to KPIs.
Logistics Ops implemented a support shift sign-off sheet that is filled out every night. This sign-off hits all areas of operations and helps each operating manager remember small things before leaving. Attached is a copy of that checklist for your viewing!
