First steps to securing inspirational teaching & learning
If Continuous Provision is not currently a feature of your Y1 or Y2 classrooms, getting started can seem like a daunting task. Where to begin? Which areas to include? How to set it up?
Space is often at a premium in a KS1 classroom. It may well be that you are not able to include all of the different provision areas but instead need to prioritise according to the needs of your children and what will work best in your classroom.
A smaller number of well-resourced areas, with enough space for a small group of children to work in, is far better than a large number of poorly resourced areas.
Maths, Writing, Book, Art and Workshop Areas can often be established using resources that are already in school but you will need to carefully plan how you might define and organise these.
Choose one area at a time and develop it well. Consider how best to present the resources in their specific provision area. Carefully identify the learning intentions, progression, vocabulary, recording opportunities and the role of the adult.

With a choice of three solutions, these high quality, curated collections enable you to be confident of strong connections to the KS1 curriculum, provide rich and meaningful contexts for KS1 learning and ensure continuity and progression from EYFS.
Available in three sizes, you can choose either just the resource collections - or the complete solution to include furniture and storage too.
