A10 Video Production Facility
The A10 video production studio is positioned as a dynamic and innovative creative hub, committed to producing high-quality visual content that not only captures the attention of audiences but also surpasses client expectations. With skilled professionals and cutting-edge equipment, the A10 Advanced Media staff specializes in crafting engaging content that effectively caters to a diverse range of needs, including conference live events, school-produced programming, and third-party rentals. Commencing on January 1, 2024, the studio will be operational, providing advanced capabilities to facilitate various forms of content creation.
Mission and Vision: The mission of A10 Advanced Media is to bring ideas to life through the art of visual storytelling. We aim to be a premier destination for the conference office, member institutions, and third-party companies seeking top-notch video production services. Our vision is to consistently set new industry standards for creativity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Core Capabilities:
● Cameras: The A10 production studio is equipped with three Hitachi broadcast studio cameras placed on mobile pedestals/tripods. These cameras are specifically designed for this purpose and are optimized to deliver high-quality, vivid images. Additionally, they are integrated with full headset communications that enable seamless communication between the camera operators and the control room. This setup ensures efficient coordination and high-quality visual output for the studio's productions.
● Lighting: The A10 production studio benefits from lighting provided by Brightline, which includes LED instruments known for their exceptional lighting coverage, energy efficiency, and lack of heat generation during operation. This lighting setup is strategically designed to ensure that talent positioned at the news desk or in front of the video wall is illuminated perfectly for every production. To facilitate seamless adjustments, the lighting instruments are managed through a 9/12/2023 Prepared by Scott McBurney 3
DMX console, offering the flexibility to effortlessly make changes as needed for different production scenarios.
● Studio Set: The A10 production studio's set and news desk are supplied by a prominent player in the set construction industry. This expert design team will craft a custom set tailored to meet the specific requirements of A10's usage and space. This modern set is designed to ensure longevity and durability, providing years of effective use. The set occupies half of the studio space, offering multiple dynamic camera angles around the news desk. The news desk itself is versatile, capable of being branded for the conference office, schools, or third-party entities. The set comfortably accommodates three individuals, and its clean design is further enhanced by its ability to incorporate color changes, making it adaptable to the preferences of various production clients, including schools and third parties.
● Video Wall: The A10 production studio will showcase a 10’x7’ DVS Digital Wall System. This impressive display serves a dual purpose: it offers graphic support for various productions and enables studio talent to engage with the screen interactively. The A10 team will have the capability to design and incorporate customized graphics suitable for a wide range of content types. Moreover, during periods when the studio is not actively in use for production, this digital wall system can also function as a branding element for the office, further enhancing the studio's versatility and value.
● Control Room: The control room of the A10 production studio is equipped with a state-of-the-art Ross Graphite switcher, which has the capability to handle up to 9 distinct video sources during any production. This switcher is widely recognized as the preferred choice for ESPN-based productions, highlighting its reliability and quality. With the flexibility provided by these video sources, the A10 studio can create various types of content, including studio shoulder programming and Remi-broadcasts of select conference championships on platforms like ESPN+. In terms of production graphics, the studio benefits from Ross's Xpression package, which efficiently manages and integrates graphics into the production workflow. The Ross equipment workflow is an industry standard, ensuring that users
entering the control room can work comfortably and effectively due to their familiarity with this widely used technology.
● Pre/Post-Production: Within the conference office, there are two dedicated workstations designed for the creation of graphic content and non-linear editing tasks. These workstations are equipped with popular editing platforms such as Avid and Adobe Premiere, enabling the creation and manipulation of visual elements with precision and creativity. The capabilities of these workstations extend beyond supporting the production studio itself; they also play a vital role in enhancing the conference's emphasis on social media content. By leveraging these workstations, the A10 production studio can generate engaging visuals for a wide array of content, ensuring a seamless connection between production and social media strategies.
Differentiators:
● Experienced Team: The A10 Advanced Media team is comprised of industry veterans with many years of experience in video production, ensuring the highest level of expertise and creativity.
● State-of-the-Art Equipment: The A10 Conference has invested in the latest video production equipment to deliver top-tier results, from high-resolution cameras to an industry-leading video switcher to advanced editing software.
● Customization: Recognizing that each project is unique, the A10 Advanced Media team will tailor their services to meet specific client requirements, ensuring a personalized and tailored approach.
● Attention to Detail: The A10 believes that perfection lies in the details. Its meticulous approach to every aspect of production guarantees impeccable results.
Market Opportunity: The demand for visual content is on the rise, with videos becoming a key tool for communication, marketing, and entertainment. The A10 production studio is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend, offering comprehensive video production services that cater to various industries and purposes.

In conclusion, the A10 production studio's significant capability lies in its capacity to independently produce both live and non-live content. This eliminates the need to rely on third-party companies for content creation, resulting in cost savings and providing the conference with full control over their messaging. By not depending on external media outlets to convey the A10 story, the conference can maintain complete ownership of their narrative. The presence of these facilities is a pivotal step towards achieving this goal, as it empowers the A10 to assert its story and message while maintaining flexibility and control over the content creation process.

Note: FX Design Group sent an preliminary estimate on 9/13/23. Their number was between $65-$72K. I indicated that this was a non-starter. Love their design but not even close to where it is a realistic budget number. They are revising the project to come in around $45-$48K…if they can. This will delay their quote for a few more days.
