Everyone’s Body is Different. Everyone Can Shine.
By Ocean, Stacy, Macey, Tanaka, Naomi
This is Pip. Pip is full of energy, ideas, and giggles. She loves to climb, dance, and try new things just like you!

Pip was born with something called Poland Syndrome.
One hand is a little smaller, and one side of her chest is a bit different. But that doesn’t stop her one bit!

At first, Pip was nervous about PE. She worried she might not keep up. But then she found out… movement isn’t about being perfect—it’s about having FUN!

Coach Jamie helped Pip find ways to move that worked for her. Her friends cheered her on and soon everyone was trying new moves together!

Running made Pip feel fast.

Dancing made her feel free

And every time she moved, her confidence grew like a sunflower in the sun.”

You don’t have to look the same to join in the game.
Your
body is amazing just the way it is—and moving it helps you shine!

A NOTE FOR GROWN-UPS
About Poland Syndrome: Poland Syndrome is a rare condition that affects the muscles on one side of the body. Some children may have a smaller hand, a difference in the chest muscles, or limited movement in one arm. Every child with Poland Syndrome is unique and so are their strengths.
Why this book matters:
For children with physical differences, participating in sport or play can sometimes feel daunting. That’s why stories like Pip Moves! are so important. They remind all children that their bodies are powerful, worthy, and able just as they are.
The power of movement: Physical activity isn’t just about fitness. It boosts mood, builds focus, and helps children feel strong and included. When children see characters who look like them being active and confident, they feel encouraged to join in too.
