But while many agents were starting to struggle to build and maintain their clientele, Marni was recommitting herself to her industry with an unbridled sense of enthusiasm and positivity. The results were remarkable: “I sold twenty six houses in my first year,” she recalls. “It was amazing.”

To that end, she has dedicated herself to honing the skills that allow her to better represent buyers and sellers. A voracious reader, she is constantly looking for opportunities to stay in touch with her business and the marketplace. Her entrepreneurial spirit and experience as a small business owner have reinforced the importance of marketing and planning, and she consistently invests in herself through continuing education, seminars and coaching. Her efforts have allowed her not only to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry as a whole, but have enabled her to better recognize and capitalize upon opportunities for her clientele.

career paths and took time to raise a family, Marni never lost sight of her long-term goals. “I always knew I belonged in real estate,” she explains. The calling back came at the unlikeliest of times: in 2005 she re-launched her career, just as the market was beginning to shift again.

Tailoring her business to the unique needs of each individual, she is able to better facilitate a successful experience. “Education is critical, particularly for buyers,” she says. “Every person comes to a transaction with an idea of how the process will (and should) work. Typically, it’s more complicated than they expect.”

Her objective is to provide thorough and detailed information, which allows each buyer to make the right decisions for their long- and short-term goals. When Paula and David Willis reached out to Marni, their expectations were admittedly low. “We had experienced less-than-ideal real estate transactions in the past,” recalls Paula. “But right away, we knew Marni was different.” The Willises were immediately impressed by her interest in their needs, her resources and her candor.

As the transaction progressed, they established a deep sense of trust and respect for the agent who never let them lose hope. “We started the process thinking our situation was impossible,” Paula says. “Marni was so positive and proactive, and she had a great team of professionals who were there to help guide us.”

As a listing specialist, Marni utilizes a keen eye and market savvy to assist her sellers in preparing their properties for the demands of prospective buyers. “I consult with my clients on how to maximize the returns for their investment on repairs and updates,” she explains. “Sometimes you need an outside perspective to understand what makes sense.” Targeted marketing and advertising campaigns maximize exposure; professional photography and beautiful visual presentations ensure that every home is portrayed in its best light, online and in print pieces. Marni actively markets to her expansive network of contacts and colleagues as well.

She is an astute negotiator, and Marni appreciates the challenges associated with advocating for her clientele. “There are times when you have to play hardball to get an offer accepted,” she acknowledges. “My ultimate goal is to achieve each of my client’s objectives while keeping their best interests at the forefront of my actions.”

Working with Marni is a unique experience; she engages her clients throughout the process, establishing expectations and a sense of accountability for a successful transaction. “We’re in a partnership,” she explains. “There are, at times, tough talks.

But that communication is really important to ensuring that we’re all on the same page, working toward the same outcome.”

Marni specializes in residential transactions throughout the Inland Empire. Well-versed in the region’s communities and amenities, she maintains an ongoing commitment to staying on top of the market’s trends and changes. As her business continues to evolve, she has adapted accordingly. In addition to working with an administrative assistant, she has also welcomed her husband Raul to her team. Together, they will offer clients a more comprehensive platform of service.
