Invested in his Clients’ Success

H

e is the agent of choice for a range of real estate consumers, from seasoned international investors to local buyers and sellers at every level of real estate. John Simcoe’s no-nonsense approach focuses on identifying and determining each client’s unique goals, and he consistently performs beyond expectations.

John has been involved in real estate since 1994, though he maintained a professional focus on his position as an aircraft mechanic for a major carrier. In 2001 the time was right to transition full time into the field, and he launched himself into the career with a sense of purpose and enthusiasm.

“I have always enjoyed the opportunity to meet different people,” says John. “Every day brings something new, and I appreciate the challenges. I’m truly passionate about the business of real estate!”

They may not be immediately obvious, but the parallels between his work as a mechanic and his role as a real estate consultant are significant. “Attention to detail is critical,” notes John. “On an airplane, you can’t take the chance that something will be overlooked.” He continues, “Real estate is like that as well. As the trusted representative of a buyer or seller, it’s crucial that every piece of paper we handle is accurate and correct, that negotiations are thorough, and that every element of the transaction is well-managed. If not, my clients may suffer unnecessary stress or hardship throughout the process.”

A savvy agent understands the need for adaptivity, and in 2006 John recognized the signs of a major industry shift. As equity sales began to dwindle, he recalls, “I had a choice. I could try to get into the REO market, which was quickly becoming saturated with other agents, or I could explore short sales, which were largely being overlooked.” The man who loves nothing more than a challenge pursued the latter, a move, he says, that has paid off.

“In 2010 short sales comprised a large share of the marketplace,” observes John. “My experience, plus the connections I had made with asset managers and banks, allowed me to better position my clients in these types of transactions.”

While he works with traditional equity buyers and sellers as well as distressed property owners, John notes that he also counts investors as nearly a quarter of his clientele. Well-versed in regional prices, interest rates

and market trends, he is a terrific resource for individuals seeking to build their portfolios through long- and short-term holdings.

John’s commitment to his clients is evident in every facet of his business. He strives to earn and maintain trust and respect, and consistently accomplishes this through diligent representation and solid communication. He offers thorough follow-up and hands-on attention throughout the course of every transaction, allowing his clients to feel secure knowing that their transactions are well-managed from start to finish. This, says John, has allowed him to establish a thriving clientele of international investors.

“I love Corona because of the diversity in the marketplace,” he says. “Every transaction is truly a unique experience.”

To best represent his glowing clientele, John employs the support of an extended team of industry professionals who adhere to a similar philosophy of business. He has aligned himself with a network of service providers including swimming pool specialists, plumbers, electricians and roofers, and has added a buyer’s agent to his Keller Williams team. “Thanks to these resources, I’m able to better dedicate my time and energy to meeting my clients’ ongoing needs,” he says.

Business is booming, but John finds balance outside of work with his family. He’s also an avid golfer who enjoys the opportunity to travel when time permits.

John’s professional dedication has earned him not only the trust and loyalty of a growing base of repeat and referral clients, but industry accolades as well. He reports that he was recognized as the top selling agent in the City of Corona for 2011 and 2012, and was named Keller Williams’ top selling agent in Riverside County during those years.
