The U.S. Navy brought him to San Diego, and after nine years of military service, he settled in “America’s Finest City” to achieve the second half of his dream.
With his ardent work ethic, military discipline and vibrant personality, Jared succeeded quickly in real estate, taking the trophy for Rookie of the Year at his agency. He has continued to build on his early success, establishing the Balassi Realty Group at eXp Realty in 2022.
Jared works with buyers and sellers throughout the region, bringing the same passion and customer service to transactions at every price point. “When I represent someone, I make sure I’m holding their hand through everything. I really enjoy that part of it, that feeling of being there for someone, especially first-time homebuyers. It makes me happy to see somebody so excited about a home and the investment they are making for themselves to create generational wealth. And I love that term — generational wealth. There is something really powerful about helping somebody create a legacy for their family’s future.”
Jared’s first-hand understanding of military life makes him a first choice among military personnel and their families. “I’m able to find common ground,” he says. “I understand a day in their life and their finances, what they’re
going through and how it works when someone is on deployment and their spouse is handling a transaction. I am able to talk about it and provide an extra level of care and attention to detail.”
Further, Jared is an expert who can help service members utilize their VA benefits. “I love serving military because the VA loan is very powerful in ways a lot of Realtors® don’t see. Most military families don’t have much money in the bank. But with a VA loan, the down payment is zero, so you just need to come up with closing costs. And especially now that we’re in more of a buyer’s market, there are opportunities to negotiate seller credits for closing costs. I wish I could tell everybody who has a VA to use it again and again. I really want to share that with other military members.”
With his boundless energy and enthusiasm, Jared is always on the lookout for new and better ways to serve his clients. He does not rely solely upon the MLS, but uses his personal and social media networks to connect people with the right
buying and selling opportunities. And because he sees his clients as individuals, he seeks to customize the real estate experience to their unique needs. “The highest compliment I have received is that I make my clients feel like they are my only clients by being always available to them. A lot goes into every real estate transaction, especially for someone who has only ever bought one or two. I am sincere in wanting to help them understand everything that is happening and set them up for success by taking care of my clients personally and emotionally. A lot of emotions go into real estate too, and finding a common ground between me and my clients is what helps me to deliver service with a personal touch. When they feel comfortable and taken care of the whole time, then they know I’ll do a really good job for their friends and family too.”

Jared says he loves San Diego for its boundless opportunities and one-of-a-kind lifestyle. “I feel we live in the best city in the world, with great
weather, beautiful neighborhoods — I even love the highway system. And you can literally go snow boarding and surfing on the same day! ”
