or Realtor® Carolina Turcios, working in real estate and helping families achieve the American Dream gives her life a profound sense of purpose. When she came to the U.S. from El Salvador, Carolina was only 19 years old. She was already a wife and mother of two, and in the years to come, she would become a single mother of four. She worked hard to support her family, and she enjoyed her first career as a caregiver. “I love

to work with older people,” she says. “It’s one of my passions.”

In time, Carolina channeled her love for helping others into a real estate career. She started out in the mortgage sector, and eventually moved to real estate sales, bringing her comprehensive knowledge of home finance with her.

That’s when she knew she had truly found her calling.

Fulfilling a Profound Life Purpose A loyal individual who has built her real estate practice by cultivating lasting relationships, Carolina has been with the same office for 9 years. From her office in South Gate, Carolina works primarily in the Pasadena area, but since her business is driven by referral, she is happy to go wherever her clients need her.

Carolina especially enjoys working with buyers. “I think I

get a good connection with buyers. In the first conversation we have, I ask what they need and what they want to accomplish. I like to put their interest first in terms of what they want. I feel so much joy when I can finally give them the keys to their house and see the excitement of the whole family.”

Carolina’s easygoing, approachable nature puts people at ease and inspires trust. Clients are quick to hire her, and in a short time, she becomes like one of their family.

Recently, a family in Pasadena came to one of Carolina’s open houses and hired her to represent them the same day.

“They told me, ‘We’ve been looking for an agent and we feel like we have a connection with you. Something about you makes us feel comfortable and like we can trust you.’

That’s what motivates me and keeps me going. I feel like I’m doing something good.”

Carolina’s reputation as an honest, hardworking professional has earned her the respect of both clients and colleagues. A client who reached out to her for help at the beginning of their home-buying journey, said this afterward: “She helped us from beginning to end! Being firsttime buyers, we were clueless about what steps to take. We were always helped with patience and a lot of knowledge.

Family remains the primary focus of Carolina’s life, and she says that she is especially proud of the success of her two oldest children, both of whom were born in El Salvador. “My eldest son works in management and has given me two beautiful grandchildren. My second son

graduated from university and is now working as a software engineer for NASA.” Carolina enjoys keeping her family’s cultural traditions alive through food. “We try to go back home once every year or two, and the thing they all enjoy most is the food. When we have parties here, I cook everything. Pupusas are the favorite — they’re like Mexican gorditas.”

Experienced, caring and always ready to help, Carolina is fulfilling her own life purpose by helping others find theirs.
