We provide affordable, accessible learning opportunities to promote student success and strengthen our community. Registration
Classes are filled on a first-come first-serve basis, and early registration is encouraged. Please note that fees are due upon registration to reserve a space in a class. A student is not officially enrolled in a class until payment is received. All credit course students will be required to pay a $20 annual infrastructure fee.
Cancellation Policy
A 100% refund is given when a course is cancelled by the College. EACC reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. Mailed refunds are usually received within two to three weeks.
Refunds
A transferable voucher may be given for the amount of the class if a student cancels 48 hours prior to the start of the class.
All students must register and pay all course fees prior to the first day of class. Community Education classes will not meet on the Labor Day Holiday (September 2nd), Fall Break (October 14th & 15th), and the Thanksgiving Break (November 27th - 29th).

This class starts at the very beginning! By the end of this course, you will understand and “talk” computer lingo. This computer course includes an overview of Windows operating systems, and introductions to word processing, and more. Microsoft Excel (BUS 1621 W1)
Microsoft Excel is perhaps the most important computer software program used in the workplace today. That’s why so many workers and prospective employees are required to learn Excel to enter or remain in the workplace. Students will create and edit basic worksheets and workbooks. This course is designed for students who want to gain the necessary skills to create, edit, format, and print basic Microsoft Excel worksheets. Introduction to Computers or equivalent experience recommended. Internet Basics (BUS 1621 W1)
This course introduces students to the Internet and email. Students will learn to search for stock quotes, airline schedules, news, weather, online newspapers, etc. The use of search engines, downloading, sending attachments, and email will be covered. Introduction to Computers or equivalent experience required. Dance your way into fitness with this Latin-inspired experience. Zumba joins high energy movements with dance combinations to achieve a full body workout. Zumba helps tone, sculpt, and burn fat while blending exercises such as squats, knee lifts, and bicep curls. Instructors will make sure you have so much fun you won’t realize you are working out. Conditioning
The first half of the class is geared toward cardiovascular improvement. The second half of the class is weightlifting with small dumbbells. Students are required to have a yoga mat and their own small dumbbells. This is a beneficial course for people who want to get into shape. Personal Interests & Senior Sage Weightlifting (HPR 1811 C1)
Throughout the semester, students will work on how to achieve different goals such as increased speed, power, flexibility, endurance, strength, and muscular size. Students will be working all major muscle groups including legs, chest, back, shoulders, and arms with increasing amounts of resistance. This class will also cover the basics of nutrition to help build a “more fit” you. Yoga
Yoga is designed to connect the mind and body. Participants will focus on strength and balance movements designed to increase flexibility and reduce stress. You will benefit from this class whether you are a new student learning the basics or you are more experienced. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels. Wear comfortable clothing and don’t forget to bring a yoga mat to class. Introduction to Web Design (ART 2003 C2)
Students will learn basic methodology and design concepts. An emphasis will be placed on design and software use. Students will complete at least one full functioning web site. Pottery
This class explores the art of forming and shaping clay. Anyone can participate, regardless of skill level. Explore hand-building techniques such as Coil, Slab, and Wheel and learn how to incorporate decoration and embellishments to improve surface design. Experienced students will continue their exploration of ceramic art by practicing advanced hand techniques. Students will learn the basics of watercolor techniques such as transparency, compostion, basic color theory, and value. Learn to communicate in the manual-visual mode and receive instruction in learning the alphabet, vocabulary, whole number system, and elementary conversation. These classes are private instruction classes. They typically meet one-half hour or one hour per week. All applied class instruction courses require five hours of practice per week for every half-hour of individual instruction. Lab fee is $25 for one-half hour per week and $50 for a one-hour per week. AR Concealed Carry Course
Taught by certified concealed handgun safety instructor Buck Morris, this course offers a safe, friendly environment for Arkansas residents to qualify to conceal a handgun with a permit (license). Classroom experience and firing qualification (to be held at a local range) meets the requirements of Arkansas Act 419 of 1995. AR Enhanced Concealed Carry Course
College Singers (MUS 1071 C1)
Bring music into your life and join this group of mixed voices. Sacred and secular choral music will be studied and performed. Your efforts will culminate in a public concert during the festive holiday season. Taught by certified concealed handgun safety instructor Buck Morris, this course offers a safe, friendly environment for Arkansas residents to qualify for an enhanced concealed carry license (E-CHCL). Classroom experience and firing qualification (to be held at a local range) meets the 2017 changes to A.C.A. §§ 5-73-101 to -324. The E-CHCL gives a licensee the ability to carry and possess a concealed handgun in more locations than the standard AR CHCL. The course training requirements are significantly more detailed and in-depth compared to the standard AR CHCL with more detailed classroom training in aspects of self-defense with a firearm, as well as a minimum accuracy on timed live-fire qualification requirements. Participants must be 21 years of age and a resident of the State of Arkansas. In addition, participants must already possess an Arkansas CHCL or must complete the basic Arkansas Concealed Carry class first. This course follows the USDOT National Standard Curriculum and provides 20 hours of refresher training. Information provided assists Arkansas certified or nationally registered EMT-Basic to meet recertification requirements. Pre-registration is required. Buying a home is a huge and long term commitment. Kelly Lewis will help prepare yourself for what to expect during the purchase transaction as well as the ongoing responsibilities of owning a home. Learn how to save thousands of dollars and help yourself get into a home sooner than later. Adventure Training Center The Adventure Training Center provides the ultimate training experience for building a successful team, and improving self confidence. Participants will strengthen their communication and problem solving skills, while developing their leadership potential. Cheerleading
Instructor Roni Horton, former Arkansas State University cheerleader and competitive cheer coach, students will learn all components of cheerleading. These components include: jumps, motions, stunts & pyramids and pass/standing tumbling. At the end of the class students will perform a routine that combines skills learned throughout the class. Slammin’ Jammin’ Music Lessons
Whether you are brand new to guitar or need to build on the basics that you have already been taught, instructor John Shepherd will supply you with the tools you need to improve and play like a star! 8 lessons will cover hand techniques, reading music, chording, etc., while working one on one with an experienced music instructor.
