In front of the house of Mahlangu, the elders of the Mahlangu tribe engage in rituals to honour their youth by simulating a "Thamba" (fight) in which long whips and shields are used.

On the Wolwegat farm, the Masilela family's home, in its humble simplicity with soft and natural frescoes painted on the houses facades, stands in sharp contrast to the brown ground of the earth.

The colours on the walls are slightly veiled by transparent warm and gentle pastels.

Geometric and naïve shapes designed in dusty and delicate tones contrast with their rustic context, inviting us to the sweet nostalgic vision of a childhood world.

How not to be charmed by the velvety Ostrich Peach that evokes the softness and roundness of chromatic harmonies resonating in the Art of the ancestral Ndebele womenfolk ?
