E-ACT DSLV Academy provides a learning environment that prepares our young people for the ever-changing world around us and creates citizens that demonstrate the following qualities in all that they do; excellence, tenacity and kindness.

Our staff demand the highest academic and personal standards from our students, from the moment they enter the Academy in the morning; ensuring they are punctual, smartly dressed, polite and hard-working learners. From these foundations, the school is calm, safe and purposeful, with staff that believe in every student and a school community that will challenge every student, ensuring learning has no limits.

LEARNING HAS NO LIMITS HIGH EXPECTATIONS

We offer a personalised curriculum that nurtures the talents of each individual. Our curriculum covers traditional academic subjects but also meets the needs of the modern world.

We want our students to set goals and work hard to achieve them. Through our carefully sequenced curriculum, our students are able to have their pride validated and showcase their talents.

At E-ACT Crest Academy, we don’t just teach your child to dream, we also teach your child how to make their dreams a reality. To make this happen, we will expose your child to a broad range of subjects and experiences to help them find out where their passion lies. Our curriculum includes the following subjects:

We aim to develop our students’ communication skills throughout all lessons and for them to be proud of their achievements, whether they are in the academic field, sporting arena or on the stage.

Right support at the right time

Within lessons we encourage our students to never give up, no matter how hard things seem and have belief in their own ability. Our teachers are skillfully trained to identify gaps in knowledge and provide support to close these rapidly.

The Academy is welcoming and you make friends quite quickly, I have lots more friends now than I did have. My Drama teacher is Miss Wright and she has really welcomed me into Drama.

At E-ACT DSLV Academy student leadership plays a vital role at the heart of the Academy. Our student voice focuses on collecting feedback and having proactive meetings with students from a range of years to ensure behaviour, teaching and learning remain at the highest level. Our student leaders develop the confidence and skills to prepare them for key roles in society.

The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme provides an opportunity for students to work with a university researcher to give them the experience of studying at university. Stretching and challenging students, they develop their academic skills with an assignment that is graded using university grading. They will also visit two universities as part of this programme.

Coachbright is a social mobility charity, that offers a peer to peer programme where older students work with younger students in an academic coaching role. The programme encourages students from both year groups to become independent and resilient learners and offers the coach the chance to gain a leadership qualification.

Football Beyond Borders is an education and social inclusion charity that use the power of football to change the lives of young people. The programme helps young people with the skills and grades required to make the successful transition to adulthood.

The Elephant Group are a headteacher led charity, committed to improving fair access to top universities, through the collaboration between school leaders, universities and wider invested partners. The top third universities for our top third students.

The DofE Award is offered at three progressive levels and the award is open to any young person over the age of 14. The award is about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries. It promotes resilience, problem solving, teamwork, communication and drive.

At E-ACT DSLV Academy, all staff demonstrate high levels of vigilance, visibility and warmth. E-ACT DSLV Academy understands its role in developing young people who can make a lifelong positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work, and for this reason we all have an essential part to play in modelling, encouraging and supporting good behaviour.

Not only do we focus on academic excellence, we also work with different associations to help develop our students personal skills and experiences. We value learning outside the curriculum, through educational visits and our co-curriculum clubs.
