Welcome to E-ACT DSLV Academy.

E-ACT DSLV Academy provides a learning environment that prepares our young people for the ever-changing world around us and creates citizens that demonstrate the following qualities in all that they do: excellence, tenacity and kindness.

Everybody deserves the same opportunity for success and as an academy, it is our role to provide this platform to allow everyone to become the best version of themselves. We pride ourselves on being a school at the heart of its community and we place our children at the centre of all decisions we make.

Our staff demand the highest academic and personal standards from our students; ensuring they are punctual, smartly dressed, polite and hard-working learners. From these foundations, the school is calm, safe and purposeful, with staff that believe in every student and a school community that will challenge every student, ensuring learning has no limits.

OUR E-ACT FAMILY

We are proud to be one of 28 E-ACT academies in England.

Our community includes over 18,000 pupils and 2,300 teachers and non-teaching professionals across the country.

As an E-ACT academy we share ideas with other academies in the trust in ways other schools may not be able to. Our pupils and staff also feel part of something much bigger

I enjoy supporting the younger students by helping them with the things they do and encourage them to reach their dreams.

We are proud to work with different associations to help develop our students personal skills and experiences. We value learning outside the curriculum, through educational visits and our co-curriculum clubs.

The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme provides an opportunity for students to work with a university researcher to give them the experience of studying at university. Stretching and challenging students, they develop their academic skills with an assignment that is graded using university grading. They will also visit two universities as part of this programme.

Coachbright is a social mobility charity, that offers a peer to peer programme where older students work with younger students in an academic coaching role. The programme encourages students from both year groups to become independent and resilient learners and offers the coach the chance to gain a leadership qualification.

Football Beyond Borders is an education and social inclusion charity that use the power of football to change the lives of young people. The programme helps young people with the skills and grades required to make the successful transition to adulthood.

The Elephant Group are a headteacher led charity, committed to improving fair access to top universities, through the collaboration between school leaders, universities and wider invested partners. The top third universities for our top third students.

The DofE Award is offered at three progressive levels and the award is open to any young person over the age of 14. The award is about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries. It promotes resilience, problem solving, teamwork, communication and drive.

BUILD CHARACTER AND BROADEN HORIZONS

At E-ACT DSLV Academy, all staff demonstrate high levels of vigilance, visibility and warmth. E-ACT DSLV Academy understands its role in developing young people who can make a lifelong positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work, and for this reason we all have an essential part to play in modelling, encouraging and supporting good behaviour.

To be a member of the DSLV family is a privilege and has provided me with the conditions for my own success and that of the young people I am fortunate enough to work with.
