In Ukraine Greek-Catholic Church group of ”Praying mothers” is quite active and quite popular.
In a membership of this women organization in Nyu-Arc city ( Nyu-Jersy state , USA) at St.Jones Churche group «Praying mothers» regullary support “Dzherelo” by their prayings and donations. Ukrainian women join together for the sake of their children,harmon,asking God harmony and welfare in cosiety

Ordinary miracle or story about a girl May 30,2012
Our volonteer – art-therapist Orysya Jonston from Canada flew to “Dzherelo” for the second time in May. And told at once that she wants the lessons with Marichka Romanshak – the member of “Flowers” group- to continue. In a funny way several times in a minute Orysya kept saying Marusya”s name , asking the the fastest meeting with a girl. Last year in November Orysya had individual lessons with Marichka and truly loved her. Keep continue the lessons Orysya was affected and said that this girl has a real talent and ideal sence of color.And showed girl”s paintings to all willings. During two seminars of art-therapy for our centre”s psychologists Orysya told that she saw obvious progress in cooperation with Marichka. Within every day of her staying in “Dzherelo” Orysya reminded that girl needs to develop her talent

and to have a person who would work with her individually and would develop personal contact through the art process , helping her to develop her social skills this way. When the head of “Dzherelo” Myroslav Nykolaev heard about the Marichka”s results he proposed to provide her with additional individual drawing lessons. of disabled people department agreed to work with Marichka individualy. Orysya immediately asked for meeting with Khrystyna and told her about Marichka”s skills and needs . Before depature the meeting between Marichka”s parents,Orysya,Khrystyna Valko and also pshychologist Nelli Velychko,the teacher Iryna Senk and the head Myroslav Nykolaev was organized. The parents were shown Marichka”s paintings in chronological order in order to show them progress in her development and told them about their child”s
talent. It was decided : Marichka would have more paint lessons additionally. Аnd Khrystyna would sent scan copy of Marichka”s paintings to Orysya every week and would report about lessons result Orysya flew to Canada enjoyed and with “easy heart” knowing that Marichka would keep develop her talent. А new art-therapeutic project was considered in “Dzherelo” – in order to recognize every talent.
Euro in Lviv 25 of May 2012
On 25th of May, before Euro-championship opening, Anri Delone cup was delivered to Lviv. Everyone could make a photo with “Euro cup” , though the willing ones were more than enough. Despite on this, disabled people were allowed to make a photo without standing in a queue. In the evening on I.Franko University square “Ogo-show” was held by the winner of “Eurovision-2004” Ruslana Lyzhychko and Kuzma Skryabin. Militaries from “Academy of the army” took an active part in the show. On 9th of June there was a first match between Germany and Portugal teams on “Arena” stadium . For assistance of FC “Karpaty” our funclub had a chance to visit the match. We really enjoyed it, match left good memories in our hearts The main feature of our stadium is ability to welcome people with special needs.. Me and my friends had an opportunity to watch several matches in fun-zone near T.Shevchenko monument. There were big screens inside and equipped seats for people with special needs. There were also ramps on high sidewalks. During the championship You could see many foreign visitors and fans of different LCRC «Dzherelo» Newsletter
football teams. Many festivals, entertainments, concerts, performances were held. Euro-2012 , volunteers and guests hospitality has left many bright memories.

Report of collecting and using the funds of Greek-Catholic Churches June 07,2012
According to authorization of Lviv Archbishop Kyr Ihor dated from 12th of October 2011 №11/1373 for colleting charitible funds in churches or personal assistance in charity, the collection of charitible funds took place in 22 Churches of Lviv Archdiocese UGCC for “Dzherelo”. The total amount of charitible funds in Churches for the period from 12th of October 2011 till 27th of May 2012 makes 50 996,00 UAH (fifty thousand nine hundred and ninty six UAH 00 cents)
The total amount of actual costs from October 2011 till May 2012 on 01st of June 2012 makes 51 758,00 UAH (fifty-one thousand seven hundred and fifty eight UAH 00 cents ) . The funds were used for transportation and food funding programs of “Dzherelo” centre This promotion proves again that with the help of God and common affords we help disabled children with special needs to live full and happy life.

“Wisers “ group at “Sisters of Blessed Family” summer-camp. June 08, 2012 року
In January 2012 children from “Wisers” group sang Christmas Carols to their friends in Lviv and suburbs, glorifying the God. This efforts did not pass without noticing : with God”s blessing from 5th till 8th of June children with their families and teachers had a chance to rest at a summer camp of “Sisters of Blessed Family” in Goshiv village Ifano-Frankivsk region. Convent- is God’s light source, unfinished stream of God’s blessing. Every person can draw for himself goodness and kindness. At the convent our children started to shine

children and parents, common discussions and liturgies visits, conversation with a Priest, pilgrimage to miraculous image of Mother of God. Fresh air and amazing beauty of nature, peaceful life of convent left its mark on every child’s soul. With tears on their eyes children said “good-bye” to the convent, they regretted truly for their staying at camp, but hoped that next summer would come with a joy, and their teachers back to this pictures place and parents could pray for where the God’s blessing is hidden between convent walls. them. Summer Camp for the youth of vocational orientation June 10, 2012
From 01st till 10th of June 2012 youth from “Dzherelo”had a chance to rest in pictures Tuhlya village ,Scole region (private estate “Green tourism”) Thanks to such kind of trips youth get to know more about this region, customs, meet new people and know each other better. Young people admired the beauty of sunlight dawns ,mountain rivers, sunsets to reproduce all this beauty in their pictures and poetry readings . During the holidays boys and girls not only had a rest but also showed creativity: conducted recitals, competitions and had fun
Buy an Easter egg sticker-join the charity event “ Special Easter Egg” June 22, 2012
From 03rd of April till 02nd of May 2012 all enterprises shopping malls, cafés and inhabitants of our city had an opportunity to take part in charity action “Special Easter Egg ” during Easter holidays. The action was held for “Dzherelo” centre children food program support. Symbolic stickers (paper glass stickers ) have been distributed for charity donations starting from 10 UAH. Everyone had a chance to buy symbolic sticker, making charity donation . Shopping-mall “Pivdennyy” in Lviv agreed to become a main partner of “Special Easter egg ” event , initiated by «Dzherelo » for Easter Holidays 78 boxes were placed all together for funds collection and symbolic Easter-eggs were distributed in places mentioned above for charity donation, in general 2 600 peaces . 4000 Easter Eggs were distributed during the event. «Dzherelo» expresses gratitude to active staff of company «!Fest, emotion”s holding», members of Lviv Student LCRC «Dzherelo» Newsletter

municipality of Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyy , «Shopping mall «Shuvar» » staff, «Dzherelo» staff, children”s parents and youth of the centre, volontiers – pupils of school “Sykhivska” As a result 20 528,00 UAH were collected . Spendings during event organization “Special Easter Egg” - 2 640,00 UAH.
This event proves one more time that with all common affords we help children with special needs to live full and happy life. Project “Both needed : help the other – become a friend June 30, 2012
From 01st of June 2012 “Dzherelo” have new project started “ Both needed: help the other- become a friend. During the program “Help the other –become a friend-2” founded by Carpathian Fund of Ukraine which has an aim to support social integration of disabled children and youth with a financial support by Scun Fund and Operating Netherlands Foundations for Central and Eastern Europe. The Project aim: support of disabled youth in “Dzherelo” , help to achieve their dreams and provide them with opportunity to improve their skills by creative expression and independence. Friendship with other children will help to expand their possibilities, will make them more confident , induce them to be more self-independent , will develop their intellectual and creative potential and

support their social integration, Project tasks : Creation of pairs “ friend-friend” that will expand horizons of creative and social possibilities not only for disabled youth but for volunteer .Project tasks: Creation pairs of “friend-friend” that will expand the horizons of creative and social opportunities not only to disabled youth, but to young person volunteers in pair with a friend, will give every participant Project inspiration, desire for new challenges, open the gift of disabled persons to friendvolunteer, and friend-volunteer - for persons with disabilities. From 1st of June 2012 based on “Dzherelo” centre one more project started “ Social Entrepreneurship as an independent activity of nonprofit organizations - the way to the right to work for disabled young people and promising source of self-financing during the charity crisis. During the project of social transformation for west Ukraine , introduced Consortium ICF “fund of the Carpathian Euroregion” (Carpathian Fund Ukraine) that achieves support of social integration for disabled children and youth with finance support of Operating Netherlands Foundations for Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of project : Development strategy of the financial stability of an institution as a way to self-financing in terms
of financial and economic crisis and the crisis of charity. Project tasks : 1) analysis and evaluation capabilities of the organization towards financial independence; 2) search for new ways of raising funds, applying business approach to charity; 3) creation of a model of effective selffinancing - paid services, social enterprise, stocks, promotions; 4) development strategy of the institution financial stability Terms of project – 1st of June till 30th of November Coordinator: Ryabukha Maryna Budget 10 960 Euro

On the 3rd of July 2012 the visit of Carpatian Fund and Scan Fund ,which is the fund coordinator in the chain of Netherlands Charity Funds for East and West Europe, took place in our centre.. The fund”s coordinators visit Ukraine every year to check supported projects. Scan Fund was the main donor of social transformations program and “project of Friends” in Ukraine, which have been held by Carpatian Fund. today : “Social enterprise as an independent activity of non-profit organizations – the way to the right to work realization for disabled youth and promising source of self sponsorship during the charity crisis” and “ Both needed: help the other – become a friend” . The delegation consisted of: a head of the Scan Fund Geriet Gulseboh , project
advisers Syusanna Werhoffe and Yankeke Gazalhoff , Head of Carpation fund Ruslan Zhylenko and program coordinators Nataliya Beley and Nataliya Ilchenko. We are gratefull to Carpation Fund and Scan Fund for steady support of our centre and hope for further cooperation.

In order to improve relationships and to become familiar with work of the centre, on 17th of July Mrs. Martha Khomyn from Division of the League of Ukrainian Catholic Women of Canada Eparchy of Toronto, Division at the Department of St. Jehoshaphat visited “Dzherelo”. Mrs. Martha was interested in experience of our centre’s work and news , talked to centre experts , met with children and youth. The main activities of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada are: cultural and educational activities, support Ukraine-speaking schools, participation in political life, providing a wide range of social assistance, protection of ethnic Ukrainian interests, strengthening external relations with Ukraine, the financial support of socially disadvantaged people of Ukraine . With great appreciation «Dzherelo» received a gift from the Department of the League of Ukrainian Catholic Women of Canada Diocese of Toronto, Division at the Department of St.. Jehoshaphat.

sport event

Children”s
On 1st of June from 10:00 a.m sport event dedicated to Children”s Day have been held at the playground of the “Dzherelo”. 45 pupils of “Dzherelo” took part in the competition.Organizers of the event became rehabilitations of the centre. Children ,teachers and organizers of the event competed in different competitions and communicated with each other. There were 3 playgrounds prepared for outdoor games :ball throwing into the swimmingpool, “table” bowling on the tennis table and bicycle races. The competitions were funny and emotional. Children took an active part in different competitions over all playgrounds. We are gratefully thankful to our rehabilitations who proved once more their competence , proffecional skills , for making maximum efforts, patience and attention. Sport events with recreational games are held year after year. This is a great

event for our special children which they are waiting with a big pleasure. After sport event all children were invited to the “table of sweets” , where they could treat themselves with candies,sweets and fruits. Sweet prizes for sport participants and all treatments for children and youth of”Dzherelo” centre were kindly given by our friends-sponsors: Enterpreneur Bozhyk Ihor – delicious candies Co.Ltd ”Tropic” – sweet fruits , healthy and tasty Lviv Holodcombinat — ice-scream Limofavourite children”s food. Specail gratitude to volonteers of the event who helped disabled children take an active part in competition. Gratitude to all who,who took part in organization and realization of the sport event dedicated to children”s day!
