By Sacha McLaughlin Raeside As The Wanted‘s new album Battleground is finally released, including their hits ―Glad You Came‖, ―Gold Forever‖ (The Official Comic Relief Track) and new Single Lightning DYRT thought since these boys are taking the UK by storm that we would take you back to the beginning where it all started and show you how far they‘ve came and how their style as a band has changed.
The boys first single was ‗All Time Low‘ - since the release of this song their fame and talent has escalated. Throughout their time in the public eye their style has been consistent. Their style is very Urban Street – it‘s an even mixture of usually hard fabrics, that have a distressed and worn-in look, which appear natural due to the clean cut lines and the way they hang on the body just right that they don‘t wear the wearer. Their colour palette is very much the same throughout all their music videos. It‘s a mixture of natural colours mainly blacks, greys and dark green mixed occasionally with cream, camel and softer pastel colours. The boys Max, Siva, Jay, Tom and Nathan all have their own unique style but each outfit they wear all complement each other‘s own style preferences, making them one of the most fashionable boy bands of the year.
Max has a very daring taste. He experiments most with the ―less is more‖ look by wearing more revealing clothing items more than the other member of the band. This look would normally consist of low cut necklines and vests, In the video for ―Gold Forever‖ Max combines a tailored grey waistcoat on top of a low round neck t-shirt , black skinny jeans and army style boots.

Nathan is the member who likes to experiment with accessories. He‘s usually seen wearing long neck chains and arm beads. He wears this with a printed t-shirt and his signature leather jacket - that first appeared in ‗Heart Vacancy‘ and has continued throughout all other video releases.
Jay keeps his style more simple compared to his fellow band mates but he is just as much on trend as they are. In the video ‗Glad You Came‘ Jay stood out the most by wearing a bright floral print shirt, this was the first time DYRT noticed such bold colour experimentation.
In the video ‗Lightning‘ Siva wears a plain t-shirt with a white & black shirt jacket, black chinos and again (same as Max) army style boots. Throughout all the other videos DYRT watched, Siva appears to always wear the t-shirt/shirt combo and sometimes adds a tailored blazer.
Tom has a similar style to Max. He likes to wear jackets in majority of the music videos, from military jackets to wool mix double breasted coats with high collars. In ‗Lose My Mind‘ he opted for a white low neckline vest with a tailored waistcoat, jeans and a grey flat cap.

Music So how does one get one of the greatest soul legends of all time to collaborate on their album…turns out it was by complete fluke.

―It was a complete accident – I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I went to a restaurant in Los Angeles and bumped into the songwriter Adrian Gurvitz. I was about to leave, but he told me that he‘d like me to meet one of his friends and asked me to stick around. ou may think you know what you‘re getting when
you buy a Pixie Lott album, but don‘t be fooled by the first two tracks off the album – All About Tonight and What Do You Take Me For – are an indication of what‘s to come, because according to Pixie this album will surprise fans as she‘s taken a more soulful approach to it. ―Yeah there are a few up-tempo records on there, which are great tunes to have, but I really wanted to surprise people and want to keep evolving,‖ said Pixie. After more than a year touring around the world promoting Turn It Up, Pixie was bursting with excitement to get into the studio and start recording new tracks. "I'd been writing new material since the beginning of the year and I was just excited to do a new one," she said. "The first few singles are kind of poppy and stuff but the rest of the album is more soulful. It's more inspired by soul music because that's the kind of music I grew up listening to. And now that I've done it, I'm excited to do the next one." Another reason for her excitement was that she managed to get her "all-time favourite" singer to feature on one track – Mr Stevie Wonder – the ultimate soul legend himself. ―He's amazing,‖ said Pixie ―I was totally overwhelmed when I met him – he‘s a living legend.‖ ―I‘d have been happy just to have met him but to have him on one of the songs, I was really, really happy. He plays harmonica, and he sounds great. I just feel very lucky that it happened."
―I was expecting this random person and then Stevie Wonder walked in. I mean, Stevie is my all-time favourite. I was so overwhelmed, I could feel my eyes welling up!‖ ―It was an incredible experience, but it got better. When I ended up writing a song with Adrian, he played it to Stevie. He really liked it and asked if he could put down a harmonica part for the middle eight.‖ Pixie‘s new sound isn‘t the only thing gaining attention. Pixie has cut her trademark blonde locks in favour of a funky bob and has also gone for an edgier, more grown up look. While it has been received well, there have been a few blips. While performing at the Michael Jackson tribute in Cardiff, the mini-dress that she was wearing rode higher than she expected and gave the audience in the front rows a bit more of a view than she probably would have liked. Not to take it too seriously, Pixie laughed it off and says that although she always takes care to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, sometime these things are going to happen.

"Obviously, when I'm out with my friends and stuff, you have to be a little bit careful, because you get photographed wherever you go," she said over the phone from London, "so I am a bit more cautious than I would've been before." She added: "But… I mean, everyone makes mistakes, but it's important to show what a normal 20-year-old is like. I don't want to pretend to be some kind of crazy, wild person, nor do I want to pretend that I'm squeaky clean. So I just want to be normal. I think that's a good image to portray to people, because you don't want to give a fake thing of what life is. You just want everyone to relate to you." Young Foolish Happy—the title of the new album— is exactly how Pixie feels at the moment. ―This album is about feeling good and is basically what it says on the tin.‖ ―I was really excited to start the new songs, even though people were asking me whether I was nervous about following up a successful debut. I‘m not the kind of person who feels pressure. I just think you have to enjoy it and see what happens. But I suppose I was apprehensive. I hadn‘t brought out a single for a while so you‘re never sure people will be still into you.‖ Young Foolish Happy is out 14 November

With a new album on the way for a 2012 release, classically-infused minimal electronic producer Max Cooper has released a remix EP and is taking his unique sound on the road.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds:
Album Review On 28th August 2009 a statement from Noel Gallagher appeared on the band's website writing that "with some sadness and great relief...I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer". On 5 September 2009, it was reported that Liam Gallagher was planning to continue with Oasis despite Noel's absence. Since then we haven‘t really heard too much from the song writer in chief, Noel Gallagher, however this summer has seen the return of those ballads we have all come to love.
Noel explained on The Jonathan Ross Show that he came up with the name High Flying Birds while washing up dishes listening to the Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and decided that he should name the beginning his band Noel Gallagher's. He then heard on the radio a song, by Jefferson Airplane titled High Flying Bird. Noel then decided to mix the two together to come up with the name: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

LMFAO certainly got the sparks flying just in time

Tinie Tempah hit Glasgow SECC with a bang on his "Disc-overy" UK arena tour. He excelled all expectations on stage, giving the crowd exactly what they wanted! Tinie kicked off the show wearing an extravagant metallic hooded jumpsuit with long UV fringing down the back - this was a lot of fun for the eyes when he was moving about on stage, especially with the lighting effects!
They where the most energetic live act I‘ve ever seen. They had great interaction with the crowd, singling members out and involving them in the songs as well as throwing props out over the crowd. LMFAO‘s live voices sounded just as good as recorded, if not better because of the added enthusiasm and excitement of their performance. Lmfao‘s clothing style for the concert was very extravagant but none the less definitely suited to their personalities. They refer to their style as ‗new 80‘s‘ Redfoo had his signature leopard look on combined with white ‗geek style‘ glasses without lenses. SkyBlu in a printed black vest with funky tight trousers. Lmfao may look crazy but they can be tender too as seen in song ‗La La La,‘ But they are definitely more known for songs like ‗I Am Not a Whore‘. The whole concert had a constant great vibe but like most concert‘s when their most popular songs come on the crowd get more into it. When LMFAO preformed ‗Party Rock‘ everyone shuffled But my favourite part of their concert was when ‗Champagne Showers‘ was on everyone joined in on the legendary hand gesture whilst Redfoo & Skyblu sprayed champagne and confetti all over us. LMFAO live without doubt is a concert I would strongly recommend for you to see they will not fail to deliver, I already have my ticket for next time they are around. They are absolutely Sexy and They Know It.
Hits ‗Frisky,‘ ‗Pass Out‘ & ‗Miami 2 Ibiza‘ were definitely the crowds favourite and he didn't fail to perform these songs without having the crowd involved 100%, the atmosphere was nothing other than simply amazing! Frisky had the crown in total up roar, the whole arena was just a sea of people jumping up and down with their hands in the air at Tinie‘s command! Tinie was supported by American rapper J Cole, he was the first artist to be signed by Jay-Z‘s label Roc Nation and released his first album in September of this year. Cole was a great opening act - he set the amazing atmosphere and got the crowd hyped up for the arrival of Tinie — exactly what you would want from a supporting act! Overall this had to be one of the best concerts I've attended so far.

Do you feel pressure to not squander time, particularly as it relates to your career?
The time has come to finally put Justin Timberlake‘s boy band past behind once and for all. The man who brought "sexy back" is now the most diversified music star of his generation, which is certainly making him the one to watch at the moment.

I‘ve lived a lot of my life on the road. I did spend the first half of it growing up in a very blue-collar environment in Tennessee. Coming from that background, each day that does go by, especially recently, I feel extremely lucky to have had so many opportunities. You work really hard and hope that it translates into a profession that people aspire to achieve. I don‘t know if that that makes me different person in any way. I suffer from all the same thing that everyone else does. I think that‘s why I loved this role so much. What would you do with the possibility of immortality? I would start by sleeping. [LAUGHS] No, I don‘t know. I think the idea of immortality is actually kind of frightening to me especially because I look back at my younger days as a lot of visual mishaps. I don‘t know what I would do if I possessed immortality. It‘s definitely a mind trip getting into the idea as it pertained to the film.

One of the more striking aspects of In Time is viewing a world that doesn’t age beyond 25. Given the pressure for young stars to remain beautiful, it was an unnerving parallel to witness. Is getting older with grace and maturity really not important to a certain generation anymore? TWhat makes you awkward as a kid in turn will make you beautiful as an adult. I think that you can‘t embrace that without a level of maturity, without a level of knowing who you are as a person. It‘s more about being comfortable in your own skin and knowing what you have versus what you aspire to be and finding a dynamic between those two ideals. We‘ve falsified our expectations with a lot of external aspirations and I think we all fall victims to it. I know that I have. Sure. But I think the more experience you have in life, the more you realize that time really is the most valuable commodity. It eventually does run out. It is a very mortal idea. That‘s what I enjoyed about the film, its taking time and making it money and vice versa. It‘s a really amazing movie to watch. It was an amazing movie to read in that way because it made you feel a sense of urgency. You have reached such an extraordinary level of success in such a short time. As you continue down this path as an actor, the scrutiny will only increase. Is it important to make a conscious effort to choose what your move will be? I think you do get to a point to where you feel validation comes from other things. I can only speak on my own experiences. I spent a lot of my 20‘s feeling like I could validate a lot of who I was by what I was able to accomplish. So much of the will to do that is a part of who you are and that‘s the more important part. It‘s more rewarding than the actual whatever it is that you might have received from it. I think I do owe it to myself to validate myself by my own choices in career and life, but I allow myself the ability to screw up every now and then. You learn so much from that as well.
