TRANSFORMER SERVICES Dynamo provides a comprehensive range of services for transformers including installation, maintenance, refurbishment, and disposal. Our team of transformer experts is fully trained and has the required safety qualifications and certifications necessary to complete your project. The service division can perform on-site inspections, diagnostics and maintenance activities in addition to on-site refurbishment or repair work.

TRANSFORMER OIL TREATMENT PLANT Dynamo’s OTP is designed to treat electrical insulating oil by removing particulates, moisture, and dissolved gases. This unique and compact version is much smaller than traditional industry standard units while offering the same high level performance.

Performance Capabilities: Transformer oil containing 10% dissolved gas and 50 ppm total water content can be degasified and dehydrated to the in SINGLE pass at the full flow rate of 6,000 L/Hr to: Dielectric Breakdown Voltage: Standard Method ASTM D-1816 ≥ 50 KV Standard Method ASTM D-877 ≥ 40 KV Total Gas Content: Standard Method ASTM D-2945 < 0.25% Total Water Content: Standard Method ASTM D-1533 < 10 ppm Filtration: 99% of all particles 0.5 microns

Specifications: Flow Rate: 6,000 L/Hr. ONLINE PROCESSOR FOR UNITS > 1.5 MVA or 2000 L This unique portable online oil filtering system is designed for short and long term unattended operation on large energized power transformers.

It utilizes large capacity adsorbent filters to reduce moisture in the insulation down to very low levels.

The water removal filters are redried daily by the system. This processor can also remove all dissolved gases from the transformer via a selectable / optional vacuum degassing cycle.

The benefit of this specially designed filter adsorption water removal method over the alternative continuous high vacuum system is that it does not remove the nitrogen blanket from the transformer, disturb the oil DGA, remove lighter fractions or aromatics from oil therefore not altering its chemical qualities.

ONLINE PROCESSOR FOR UNITS < 2.5 MVA This portable online oil filtering system is designed for long term unattended operation on smaller energized power transformers.

This degassing system utilizes a small vacuum chamber to remove moisture, gas, as well as soluble acidic compounds from transformer oil.

Specifications: Flow Rate: 4.5 L/min. (6,480 L/day) Pressure in Vacuum Chamber : 2 mbar Moisture Reduction : ≤ 3 ppm Gas Reduction: 86% on single pass Particulate Reduction: ≤ 0.8 μm

Performance Capabilities and Benefits: Portable unit that can be easily rotated between transformers Designed for long term operation on energized power transformers The V30 degassing system can remove up to 86% of all gases in one pass through the vacuum chamber No requirement to take outages at any stage (assuming working clearances are maintained) Supply voltage required is 120 V, 15 A

FULLER’S EARTH OIL REGENERATION AND RECLAMATION SERVICES Dynamo offers full oil regeneration options using the Fuller’s Earth method. The Fuller’s Earth method is used for removing acids and soluble surface-acting contaminants. This process will increase the Interfacial Tension (IFT) of oil and reduce the Power Factor (PF) back to desired levels. The special media is used to trap and hold resins, acids, and surface-acting contaminants.

Performance Capabilities and Benefits: Extended equipment life Reduced maintenance costs Removes all resins, foreign matter, acids, and oxidization products Restore oil’s primary physical parameters Media can be reactivated once saturated Allows for the addition of oxidization inhibitor to restore levels to standard levels

When the treatment is complete, the regenerated oil will meet or exceed international standards for new oil. These properties include lower acidity, improved PF, IFT, and oxidation stability.
