My name is Dylan, and I was born in a small Italian town named Rovetta. Actually, my parents, an Italian dad, and a Chinese mom met and married in China.
Chinese and Italian cultures are two profoundly different but among the oldest cultures in the world. This cultural encounter has allowed me to always have an open outlook toward the world’s diversity and people, not to be prejudiced, to respect differences, and to be curious about them. My passion is travel, which allows me to cultivate my curiosity about the world and cultural differences. When the opportunity arose for me to study and live in Canada, I accepted because it meant I could live in a traditionally multiethnic and multicul tural state.
I have lived and studied in Italy for most of my life. I decided to undertake the Italian course of study on con struction environment and territory because I am fascinated by the beauty of the environment and buildings built without clashing with nature.
Rovetta is a small town located on a plateau surrounded by the Orobian Alps and Pre-Alps. The grandeur of the mountains and nature is inspiring because in my architectural projects, I try to give solidity and use natu ral materials (such as wood and stone) that can blend in with the natural space.

The mountain gave birth to architecture. The forest is the wood for the houses, and the mighty stones are the load-bearing walls. Nature is shaping human buildings.
The new fire station will be focused on sustaina bility, efficiency and mental health coping. This fire station is going to target a net-zero strategy, with less carbon footprint and achieve LEED cer tification.
Some main features include the apparatus bay which is installed a double bi-fold door for time efficiency. The bioswale is the main landscape around the fire station to collect wastewater. The courtyard, the main feature of the fire station, is placed in the middle of the fire station, acting as well-being treatment for both users and visitors.

The scarcity of affordable housing in Mississauga may stem from high demand, particularly due to recent mass immigration to Canada. Certainly, constructing more sustainable homes and streamlining the building process is crucial. It’s important to have inclusive policies that facilitate the construction of affordable, sustainable homes with low energy consumption. Sustainable urban planning, along with public-private collaboration, is vital to incentivize the construction of new sustainable homes. The solution of sustainable housing involves using natural materials like wood and comprehensive insulation throughout the house to enhance energy efficiency. The advantage of sustainable housing is a long-term reduction in energy costs (heating and lighting), lower environmental impact, and reduced maintenance costs. Additionally, the unique feature of this sustainable house compared to Canadian homes is the underground garage, creating more space and allowing for larger gardens and enhancing aesthetics.
This corner’s design shape acts as “funnel” where the stormwater flow over to the rain garden underneath. Therefore the rainscreen stucco is required.
Create a central, creative hub that combines residential, commercial, and cultural spaces in a dynamic and innovative way. The building is in tended to connect different neighbourhoods and communities, and will provide access and oppor tunities for artists and creatives of diverse back grounds and discipline. Both the interior and exterior spaces will be inteded to showcase the artistic and cultural diversity of Toronto through its architecture, design, and programming.
In this project, a design solution was proposed for a detached single-family house in Edwyna, Mississauga, Ontario. The house has a total of 3 floors - the basement, first floor, and second floor. A double shed roof along with screening allowed different sunny go inside the house.
The two-story house serves as the beloved gathering spot for a large family, including a parent, four kids, and five cherished grandkids. Paciencia, the matriarch, finds solace in her backyard garden, sharing the space with two daughters and two grandkids. Eager for expansion, Paciencia dreams of enlarging the deck into a spacious area with a greenhouse. One daughter, a makeup artist, and the other, a musician, envision transforming the basement into a creative haven. Plans include a soundproof studio and an open living area for family gatherings and music lessons. This renovation aims to accommodate the growing family while nurturing their passions and fostering togetherness.

The design concept of this project is to create a community centre where the people have emerged into the green. The facility is divided into the residential area, where there is tranquility, and the commercial area. The goal is to provide living comfort and opportunities for socializing and learning. The new building will be modern and sustainable, we would have large windows to let in natural light, we also have green elements such as green roof and open to below. The residential area will be in the existing building. In the commercial area the focal point is the green garden and relaxed atmosphere. Then we would have a bookstore where people can immerse themselves in the culture, and also upstairs, there is the opportunity to participate in some classes such as cooking or pottery classes. In essence, this concept combines a unique place that celebrates community life and individual tranquility.
