- Are you married, and do you have any children?
Married 14 years to Mary, and we have two boys, Grant (10) and Chase (7).
Tell us something that people might be surprised to learn about you.
Before I started working in the Golf industry, I once was a Civil War re-enactor and was an extra in the movie Gods and Generals.
What is the best part of your game? I’m able to hit a higher shot when needed.

Can you name two of your favorite golf courses that you've played, and what makes them unique to you?
Hands-down, my favorite golf course is The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. The most scenic yet hardest test I’ve ever played on.
If you could play one round of golf with any three people (alive or deceased), who would you choose to play with?
My Grandfather, Winston Churchill, and Fred Couples. They are all my childhood and adult heroes.
What initially drew you to the game of Golf, and how did you get started?
Baseball was my first love, and unfortunately, after a knee injury, I couldn’t go out for the team my sophomore year in high school. A friend of mine invited me to play a round of golf with him, and I enjoyed it. When I turned 16, I got a job at Donegal Highlands as a cart attendant and fell in love with the business. I have worked in the golf industry since then.
Please provide some insight into your previous roles. I’ve been working in the industry since 1999 and turned professional in 2003. Since then, I have worked in every aspect of the golf industry at a green grass facility.
How long have you been a PGA member, and what made you decide to pursue a career in the PGA of America? I fell in love with the business when I started working as a cart attendant in high school. I became good friends with the club professional who worked there. When it was time to decide what I wanted to do for college, I knew I wanted to be in the Golf industry and help people enjoy the game. I was elected a Class A Member of the PGA in 2011.
What does being a PGA of America Member mean to you?
I’ve worked at a few facilities in my career, and I enjoy the challenges and opportunities I’ve been faced with at each facility. I’m happy to be a part of an organization with so many successful business men and women.
