We take you behind the scenes to witness how ADI has transformed our dedicated Brigade members into true wardens against fire through Intensive training carried out at the School of Firefighters on Fire and Use of Extinguishers, providing emergency knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to identify and mitigate fire risks, as well as to act effectively in the event of an emergency of this type.

Now, our brigade members have everything from theoretical knowledge to realistic fire mitigation drills.

VISUALIZA CENTER OF VISION

We continue to bring visual health to more places to eradicate preventable blindness, where we hold different sessions at our Vision Centers where we recruit patients with eye diseases and follow up so that they can have a change and improve their vision.

At our Cobán Vision Center we held four ophthalmological sessions during the month of July, starting in the town of Fray Bartolomé de las Casas, Senahú, Chisec and another session at the Cobán regional hospital, where a total of 115 women were evaluated 61 men and 9 children, carrying out ocular evaluations on children, young people and the elderly, managing to detect pathologies and refractive problems. Our team had the opportunity to provide information on the importance of vision care and also made known the services provided by the vision center.

The third day was held at the Petet Central School and La Libertad School, where complete evaluations were carried out on children with visual problems who do not have resources, 183 girls and 117 boys were evaluated.

Continuing with the work of bringing eye health, the surgical day was carried out at the facilities of the vision center with the visit of patients from neighboring municipalities and communities. Several of them recovering their vision and showing satisfaction with the services provided, of which 17 cataract surgeries and 11 pterygium surgeries were provided.

Huehuetenango

At our Vision Center in the western part of the country, we had the opportunity to hold an ophthalmological conference in the Huehuetenango Military Zone, where eye exams were performed on all the people attending the activity; It was possible to capture patients with ocular pathologies that needed surgery and patients were also referred to the vision center for complete evaluations.

The Vision Center held ophthalmological conferences in schools in the department to recruit patients with eye diseases; had the opportunity to attend the School of Special Education, the Regional Conservatory of Music “Alejandro Fidel Orozco”, Escuela Santo Domingo, Aldea La Federación and Colegio Preuniversitario Galileo attending students in the company of their parents; visual acuity was taken and they referred to the CV of San Marcos.

Information was provided on the importance of visual health care in students, with the aim of detecting refractive problems and bringing visual health to this sector of the community.

There was also a day of ophthalmological evaluations aimed at the Deaf Community Help Me Listen (ACAE) Civil Association, the activity was carried out with the support of an interpreter where information was provided on the importance of visual health care.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Continuing with the development of our collaborators, various workshops, trainings and conferences were held; which potentiate the skills of each one in their different work areas.

Patient care: handling difficult situations. Workshop aimed at medical assistants, opticians, counseling, administrators, reception, call center, cash register, hospital manager and marketing. With the aim of providing tools to employees to be able to care for patients in complex or difficult situations.

Refractive Suite. Aimed at all optometry personnel, with the aim of learning how to use the equipment, technology and processes to assist our ophthalmologists in refractive surgeries who are involved in improving the vision of our patients when they have a refractive error. 03

Marketing and strategic communication. Workshop aimed at: marketing and design. This workshop has the objective of developing strategic communication skills to attract new clients to visualize clinics. Providing tools to effectively apply communication strategies in the business environment, in order to achieve a competitive advantage, increase brand visibility, attract new patients and strengthen relationships with existing ones.

Taking points and reference rings according to graduation. Aimed at optics and optometry with the purpose of providing information to collaborators on precise measurements and references for the correct mounting of the lenses in the frames that our patients select, allowing the correct mounting and alignment of the lenses in the selected rings, ensuring a clear vision. quality and comfortable for the patient.

Performance evaluation. Workshop aimed at visualize leaders, providing tools and techniques to visualize leaders to evaluate the performance of their collaborators and thus improve productivity at the organizational level, training leaders and supervisors in effective techniques and strategies to carry out an evaluation of fair, objective and constructive performance, which promotes the professional development of its collaborators and contributes to the growth and success of its team.

Diabetes and metabolic syndrome update. Directed to all medical personnel. With the objective of recognizing the mechanisms of vascular damage and knowing the evolution of diabetes treatment, achieving an understanding of the disease over time, knowing the rate of diabetes in the world and specifically in Guatemala.

Update meeting. Aimed at all physicians to establish strategies for the management of pediatric patients and pterygium surgeries. Update preoperative and anesthesia considerations and know the operating room regulations. 07

Classification of solid waste. Aimed at ophthalmologists, to contribute to the environment and compliance with regulation 164-2021 on solid waste and its implementation in Guatemala.

Labor and accounting documentation. Aimed at finance, to update information on the management of accounting issues related to payroll and legal regulations and to understand the importance of labor and accounting documentation and its impact at a legal level.
