RETINAWORLD CONGRESS

We are pleased to share that Dr. Andrea Cárdenas represented Visualiza at the prestigious Retina World Congress, a leading global event that brings together leading experts in retinal science and surgery.

On this occasion, Dr. Cárdenas was invited to present on the unique challenges faced by retinal surgeons in countries like Guatemala, as well as the strategies we have developed to overcome them and provide quality care to our patients, even in resource-limited settings.

Being part of an event of this magnitude represents an immense honor and a valuable opportunity to showcase the work being done in our region. Dr. Cárdenas’ participation reaffirms the importance Visualiza places on remaining at the forefront of research and knowledge within the international scientific communities.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Visualiza Academy fellows continue to make steady progress in their training, reaching new heights every day. This progress is a reflection of the students’ constant effort, discipline, and, above all, the committed support of their teachers and coaches, who play a fundamental role in their professional development.

The impact of this training goes beyond the classroom and operating room: it translates into a direct improvement in the care our patients receive. The training of highly qualified specialists not only elevates the quality of medical care but also represents a profound change in the eye health of our community.

We thank the entire teaching staff for their dedication and leadership, essential pillars for continuing to transform lives through excellent medical education.

ACADEMIC TRAINING

During the most recent conference with Dr. Bouchard, professor and posterior segment specialist at Loyola University, first-year students from the academic training program participated. Both presented successful clinical cases, managed by the Anterior Segment and Retina departments.

We deeply appreciate the support provided by the Anterior Segment and Retina teams, whose collaboration was key to the academic and training success of the students in this participation.

Our collaborators had the opportunity to nominate the extraordinary Mother who, with her dual vocation, inspires with strength, love, and dedication to living our values.

Frida Kahlo brand activations in private and social opticians

During the month of May, in celebration of Mother’s Day, successful activations were carried out in optical stores across both the private and social channels featuring the renowned Frida Kahlo brand. The primary objective of these actions was to strengthen the brand’s presence and contribute to increased sales during this special season.

The Frida Kahlo brand, inspired by the iconic Mexican artist, is distinguished by its unique style, full of color, personality, and details that pay homage to art, culture, and authenticity. Each frame reflects Frida’s essence, fusing contemporary design with traditional elements that connect with those seeking to express their individuality through their optical accessories. As part of the activation, an exclusive

promotion was offered: with the purchase of any Frida Kahlo frame, customers would receive a beautiful designer bag with the brand’s logo, ideal for complementing their style and carrying a piece of Frida’s art wherever they go.

These actions generated an excellent reception from patients, increasing interest and turnover in the brand’s products, and strengthening the emotional bond with consumers on a date as significant as Mother’s Day.
