Both are low-power tech designed to deliver small volumes of data within short to medium distances. However, there are differences you need to consider before you choose one or the other. The major differences to know One of the most noticeable differences between IoT Zigbee gateway and Z-Wave is the way their ecosystem is controlled. The latter is specifically designed for the smart home or any smart space, whereas the former is useful for many different applications.
