Enzo Paez Game Analysis

As a player, McIntosh played soccer for York University where he won an OUA championship title in 2007 and were national semifinalists. After his university career, he was the goalkeeper coach for York’s men’s and women’s teams. In 2010, the Lions went on to win the CIS national championship. Since 2005, he has been the technical coach and goalkeeper technical development program assistant director for the North Toronto Soccer Club, where he responsible for overseeing the identification, recruitment and development of youth players.

Throughout his career, his involvement through OSA provincial programs and certification courses has led him to play a key role in the development and mentorship of elite players. He has implemented programs in grass roots, recreational and youth clubs as well as being involved with district, regional, provincial and national programs. In doing so, he has had the invaluable experience of serving under and working with some of Ontario and Canada’s top professionals. McIntosh played for Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester New York of the NAIA division before moving on to York University and Playing in the PDL for the Thunder Bay Chill. In year one with all three programs, he played an integral role in making the playoffs. His teams qualified for the playoffs with Roberts at NAIA, winning the OUA provincial championship and reaching the national semifinals with York, and winning the Heartland Division in the PDL while playing with the Thunder Bay Chill. In the summer of 2014, McIntosh was the goalkeeper coach for both U-15 and U-16 provincial teams. Both groups returned from the national championship with gold medals, sweeping the competition.

The Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre (CRWC), which opened in 2007, is the crown jewel of athletics, health and fitness at Durham College and UOIT. The centrepiece of the state-of-the-art $17 million facility is the new 28,500 sq. ft. gymnasium. The new gymnasium is fully equipped with a top of the line shock resistant maple hardwood floor, seating for 2,000 spectators and a curtain system to create three separate gyms. The large gym is also host to an elevated, 200 metre, three-lane running track. Also part of the CRWC is an additional 13,500 sq. ft. gym. The FLEX Fitness Centre is one of the great new additions of the CRWC. It is 10,000-sq. ft., full of the best stat-of-the-art cardio and weight machines. The centre also includes two aerobic/dance studios, two training rooms used for sports training and fitness related classes.

Also available to the athletes is a brand new physiotherapy room, massage therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic services in the Campus Health Centre. Having these services all under one roof will allow for quicker care, which in turn will result in quicker recovery and a return to game action. Vaso’s field, nestled in the heart of the campus, is home to the DC women’s soccer program.
