SCOTTSDALE AIRPORT

ATLANTIC AVIATION HANGARS

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

Two new 28,000-SF hangar bays with attached support buildings were constructed to accommodate future tenant build-outs, significantly enhancing Atlantic Aviation’s facilities with superior amenities and operational support for private aviation clientele.

The hangars feature concrete tilt-up walls, long-span steel joist structures, and architectural metal facades with canopies, complemented by exterior composite metal panels. Site improvements included apron pavement upgrades, customer and covered parking, AOA-compliant wrought iron security fencing, and enhanced landscaping to improve both functionality and aesthetics.

Interior enhancements include light-colored painted walls, epoxy flooring, trench drains, and large-volume ceiling fans for optimal ventilation. One support building received a fully built-out, high-end interior to support JetLinx’s daily operations. The resulting facility delivers a balance of functionality, efficiency, and visual appeal, meeting the evolving needs of modern private aviation users.

CHARLES B. WHEELER DOWNTOWN AIRPORT

HANGAR 10

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI

Hangar 10 is located on the grounds of the downtown executive airport and is designed to accommodate large aircraft such as the Gulfstream 650 and Global Express. The executive terminal offers a range of premium amenities, including hotel-style overnight rooms for pilots, a fitness center, meeting and conference facilities, leased office space, an advanced flight planning area, fleet maintenance support, a 40,000-gallon fuel farm, secure access controls, and covered parking. The adjacent maintenance facility features dedicated vehicle maintenance areas, office space, and six leasable shops for other aviation clients.

The hangar buildings are constructed with structural steel framing, metal cladding, and a durable membrane roof system. The main hangar includes six 32-foot-wide sliding panel doors set on embedded concrete tracks with electric open/close mechanisms, creating a 192-foot-wide by 28-foottall clear opening. Heated floor tracks (five feet on either side) ensure operability during inclement weather, and the epoxy flooring is equipped with three trench drains

OKC

WILL ROGERS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

HANGAR 4

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA

Construction is underway on a new three-bay, 80,000-SF maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangar at Will Rogers World Airport, expanding AAR CORP.’s capabilities to service Boeing 737 aircraft for Alaska Airlines. The new facility, known as Hangar 4, will sit adjacent to AAR’s existing seven-bay complex and will feature dedicated office space, hazardous storage areas, aircraft lounge spaces, and a new parking lot. The hangar is designed to accommodate three 737-class aircraft, with over 3,000 SF of new apron pavement installed at the hangar door entrances to streamline airside operations. Prior to construction, an existing fueling tool repair shop was relocated adjacent to the airport’s fuel farm to optimize space and site functionality. Built from a collaboration between AAR, JE Dunn, FSB, and the OKC Airport Trust, this expansion reflects years of planning to bolster Oklahoma’s aerospace infrastructure. The structural design will support a full range of MRO services for commercial and government clients, emphasizing operational efficiency and tenant flexibility. Strategic funding from the State of Oklahoma and airport rent concessions helped bring this facility to reality, with expectations to create more than 200 new aviation jobs. Hangar 4 marks a major step forward in expanding Oklahoma City’s aviation and aerospace capabilities for decades to come.

SCOTTSDALE AIRPORT

AIRPORT HANGAR

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

The Scottsdale Airport terminal area underwent a comprehensive redevelopment to fully maximize the use of its limited and valuable property. The existing airport terminal building and the adjacent aviation business center were demolished to make way for a new two-story, 23,250 SF Aviation Business Center and two 33,700 SF executive hangars. Designed to meet the growing demand for hangar space, these executive hangars can accommodate aircraft up to a Gulfstream 650, Falcon 7X, or Global Express. They feature direct runway access, 28-foot-high doors, and a private onsite fuel facility, providing exceptional convenience and operational efficiency for aircraft owners and operators.
