Louth GAA have full planning permission to develop a 14000 capacity ground at the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk. The good news was released last Thursday and work can now begin in earnest to build the stadium which is expected to cost in the region of €12m to build. According to Louth GAA chairman and local independent TD Peter Fitzpatrick the news was music to the ears of all Gaels around the county. “This is one of the best days for supporters of Louth football in a long long time. We have had so many false dawns over the years with regards to building a new stadium but now that we have received planning permission it is all systems go for this very important project,” explained Peter.

Cllr Sharkey hits out at anti-social behaviour in Blackrock Park Councillor Tomás Sharkey is calling for parental and Garda intervention in response to serious anti social behaviour in Blackrock Park. “The community in Blackrock worked hard with the support of Louth County Council to establish a great park with amenities for everybody. Unfortunately there has been serious anti social activity in recent times. Fireworks are being used constantly. Park users are being intimidated by teenagers and young adults and there is alcohol consumption, explained Cllr Sharkey. Continued On Page 2
