Tributes have been flooding in over the past few days following the tragic death of Dundalk FC head groundsman Harry Taaffe. Harry, who was a hugely popular figure around town, was last seen leaving his home on Saturday, at around 10am, before a missing persons appeal was issued on Sunday morning. Sadly, that search was stood down on Sunday evening after a body was found at a property in the Crossmaglen area. The news was met with shock and sadness around town and in league of Ireland circles where he was well known to many. SOSAD welcome additional funding Carol West, general manager for SOSAD Ireland has welcomed the news that additional government funding of €72,145 has been provided to the organisation. The COVID-19 stability funding is aimed at providing immediate assistance to community and voluntary groups who provide critical services to those most vulnerable in our society. The funding will be split between the five SOSAD offices which are located in Dundalk, Drogheda, Carrickmacross, Navan and Cavan. Full Story Page 2
