Dr. Derrick Barksdale grew up in Ora, SC, and attended the Public Schools of Laurens District 55. He was raised by his mother Sarah Barksdale and is married to Wakita Barksdale. They are the proud parents of DJ and Patience and have the privilege of loving Braelyn and Brianna as their own.
Dr. Barksdale is a Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Charlotte Chapter.
Dr. Barksdale obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design, a Master’s in Business Administration, and met the love of his life at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.
Although this is his 15th year in ministry, the call on his life was a driving force in his pursuit to study and understand the word of God. This led him to Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where he received a Masters in Christian Leadership and Divinity. In May 2018, he earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Leadership.
Through all of his accomplishments, Dr. Barksdale says his most important achievement is that he has devoted his life to serving God. Dr. Barksdale became a licensed Minister in 2008 and was ordained in 2011. Dr. Barksdale currently serves as Sr. Pastor of the Duncan Creek Baptist Church located in Laurens, S.C.
Dr. Barksdale’s favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.”

Reverend Herbert C Crump Jr currently serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Clinton College in Rock Hill, SC.
Rev Crump obtained his High School Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) from Glenmont Job Corps in Albany, NY, Associate of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Clinton Jr. College in Rock Hill, SC, completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and History at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC and earned his Master of Arts degree in Political and Civic Engagement from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. He is currently pursuing his Ph. D studies in Organizational Leadership at Columbia International University in Columbia, SC. He also received a certificate in Non-Profit Business Management from The College of Business Administration at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.
Possessing over two decades of non-profit leadership and development experience, Rev. Crump has previously led The Mount Calvary Holy Church of America Inc., where he served as Chief Executive Officer and Presiding Prelate Rev Crump also served as the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Freedom Temple Ministries Inc. in Rock Hill, SC. He has been an effective and impactful community leader and activist in Rock Hill for over two decades, including becoming the first African American member of the Rock Hill Chapter of Kiwanis Club international, he’s served as a member of the Clinton College Board of Trustees, a life member of the NAACP, and a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Standing as a high school dropout, and a former military inmate, Rev. Crump’s life demonstrates God’s ability to miraculously transform a mess into a miracle.
Rev Herbert C. Crump Jr. is happily married to Mrs. Dawn Capers-Crump, and they are the proud parents of 2 Children, Joshua Armani Crump and Jenesis Alaiya Crump along with their adopted canine son, Ace.

Pastor S. Andrew Mattison is a native of Williamston, South Carolina. He attended the Public schools there and studied at Morris College, Sumter, SC.
Pastor Mattison has been in the Christian Ministry for fifty-eight (58) years. During that time, he has pastored seven (7) churches; Shiloh Baptist Church, Anderson; New Galilee Baptist Church, Walhalla; New Hope Baptist Church, Clemson; Shady Grove Baptist Church, Pelzer; Pisgah Baptist Church, Easley; Duncan Creek Baptist Church, Laurens; and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Williamston, all in the state of South Carolina. He retired from pastoring in July 2022! Pastor Mattison has been sought after for revivals, teaching in Congresses of Christian Education, and lecturing across the United States. He is a humble man; married to Geraldine Porter Mattison for sixty years (60), and the father of four beautiful and loving children, twelve (12) grandchildren, and six (6) great-grands.
Having spent this length of time in the preaching and pastoring ministries, he now feels a calling to use the pen, to continue to proclaim Jesus Our Christ to the world. Pastor Mattison has published three books; “The Relationship of Samuel, Saul, David, and the Savior,” “The Manhood, the Message, the Ministry,” and “The Miracles of the Messiah by Mark, volumes 1 and 2.”
He looks to declare the Deity of Jesus until called home by the Father!
